Alt Gr ?
True. An ISO set would need an AltGr key.

I could live without a Alt Gr key and just use a Alt keycap instead

Your ideal set has already been made (surprise! ansi power!): https://originative.co/products/modern-beige?variant=18906335301

Nope, originative ****ed that up. For example, there's an R3 + for 1800 support, but no R2 -. I could list everything else wrong with the set, but there's just too much missing for $99 + shipping.

The windowed lock keys are nice however, and I'd really like to see that done with this set...

It's looks like it marginally supports compact 1800 where all you need is the 1u 0 key, a R3 + and 1.75 right shift.

This is the new base kit:

180215-0

I have uploaded a new base kit. Please check the new base kit.

I am mainly aiming for ANSI+ NorDeUK support.

I have checked UK, DE, FI/SE, DK, NO and FR.

UK - OK

DE - Missing the (Attachment Link) key. Also the alignment of the AltGr legends are wrong on (Attachment Link) and (Attachment Link) .

FI/SE - OK

DK - Double check the alignment on the (Attachment Link) key. It's hard to see if its correct.

NO - Same as above for the (Attachment Link) key

FR - The (Attachment Link) key looks like it has quotes instead of umlaut. The (Attachment Link) key is redundant, as it is included for NO. What is the (Attachment Link) key for?

How much interest has there been for FR? It's 25 keys after all.

I believe I have made all of the necessary corrections, thanks!

I believe this is the final base kit.

Personally I think Icon mods would look cleaner with ISO, not sure if ePBT have done that before.

I don't have any strong opinions about icons, but shouldn't we have an AltGr key, now that we have been so meticulous about the AltGr legends?

I'm curious about the 1.5u key with * and μ. Is that for some kind of Ansi azerty layout? I can't find an example by searching on Google.

Can we do something about the giant arrow backspace key that's on every set, it doesn't fit with icon, text or both legends.

The price for this keycap set will be around 100GBP. The MOQ is believed to be 70 units. I am in the process of confirming a few details, but once everything has been confirmed I will provide an exact price and MOQ. The rough price provided is to give everyone an indication of how much this set will likely cost.

Decent price for what is included, but it's at the top end of what I wanted to pay (a lot of euro keys were added though)

70 orders sounds very realistic

I think for the R2 backspace, just an icon would look better than trying to squeeze backspace in. The plain old back arrow, not the nasty square arrow

Either the windows logo that is used in the KLE image, or the one that is used by ePBT.

Hi Everyone,

I believe that I have mentioned this before elsewhere, however I will write it here on GeekHack.

I (capsunlocked) have not had any direct contact with ePBT regarding this set and despite me sending a message to them, I have not heard anything back. I am getting this keycap set produced by ePBT, via KBDFans. KBDFans have provided me with all of the details from ePBT about this set, and I am working with them to make this set possible. Although I am working with KBDFans to get this produced, this will be a capsunlocked product.

I am writing this here, as I believe that you should all be aware of this. If anyone has any further questions, please feel free to ask. :)

Sorry if this has been mentioned previously but is there any chance you would be able to give the option of purchasing just the 4 or so keys necessary to convert an existing Epbt kit to iso? For example I have an Epbt blue cyrillic set from an old GB and a red japanese set from Oco and it would be nice to have the option to use them on my iso boards as well as my ansi ones? I believe kbd fans have the set of 4 iso keys in multiple colours on their site however they don't have legends? No worries if not

I've been quiet until now because there a just a few italian users around here and no one bothered to ask but, out of sheer curiosity, how much would supporting the ISO-IT cost? It would need seven more keycaps, leaving out the fact that it doesn't have tertiary legends on the number row.

I know I've mentioned it before, but if you add even more language-specific keys I really think you're going to need to split the kit into 2. I can't speak for everyone, but paying GMK set prices for dye sub chinese PBT just to get keys the vast majority of people who would otherwise be interested in the set is just too much

Thank you! I will add them as soon as possible, and hopefully get a new base kit uploaded by tonight! :)

I understand your concerns with the size and price of the kit, and I appreciate the feedback.

I fully realise that there would be benefits to splitting the kits, and I have often thought about doing so. After much consideration, I will not be splitting the kits at this time. I understand that this means that many users will be paying for keys they will probably never use, however this is the only chance Europeans may get for full compatibility. It is rare for an EnjoyPBT (I don't belive they have ever offered this level of compatibility) or GMK keycap set to offer such compatibility at such a reasonable price. I am fully aware that this is more expensive than a standard EnjoyPBT set, however I want this keycap set to be as accommodating and available to Europeans as possible. There are many ANSI EnjoyPBT keycap sets currently available, and I don't want this to become another "ANSI Set + Several ISO Keys", the aim is, and always has been, to make this set for Europeans whom currently have limited options when it comes to keycap sets.

I just wanted to say, great job on taking all the feedback and working it into this project. I’m sure many people are extremely grateful.

An add-on windows pack would be splendid if it contained other logos/novelties.

Old school Windows + Windows 10 Logos are my favorite. Maybe Linux/OS one’s added too?

I'm out.

The biggest advantage of dye sub PBT is value for money. I can get a GMK set for this price, and this won't be giving me any additional keys that I'd use. I understand you wanted to include European languages, but in doing so you have made this set exclusive to those people now because no one like myself or non-EU guys are gong to be interested at that price.

It's about €30 cheaper than a GMK set with a euro kit, not quite 50% but I guess most euro kits aren't quite that extensive
