Yes, GMK told me samples will finish next week.
OG plastic keycaps can make work much easier and I will make sure color is right after I receive samples.
But I need to say, the experience has taught that color might be slightly different from my screen to yours. I think color will be within reasonable margin of variation.

Do you happen to have the original triumph Adler and original gmk set to compare the three together? Would love to see the difference as I didn't really like the gmk ta last made.

I went to en.zfrontier.com to find that the pre-order link for ta-90 was up. I added the base set and an icon modifier set and checked out. It worked.

So either I've paid for something that is not available (and I'll get a refunded), or I just hopped on board the ta-90 train...

Thanks, I'm not so nervous about it so much though. I bought it now because I regret not buying in earlier.

I realise that it might be a mistake on their side, but if it isn't then past experience tells me it will be sold out quickly.

and if it is an error, I've had good experiences with zfrontier in the past - I trust they'll refund me.

from the price of 182 USD for the base kit I would think that this is a sale of pre-planned extra

your order shouldn't be cancelled, but still best to get a confirmation from zFrontier on it.

Im almost certain that ZF bought extras. They usually do sometimes when a set is struggling. Don't quote me on that though, I'm just an enthusiast.

GMK do have some originals, I don't know why but they are not in this picture.

Please please let us know how they compare against each other. And is it true that production won’t happen without the approval from someone?

As someone who have had the GMK set from the first round and had a pretty mixed feeling towards the color accuracy, I highly suggest that we double/triple check the samples and have as many people to review as necessary.

Samples received!
Below are some pics of gmk samples and original keycaps under different lights.

In my view all three custom colors perfectly match original colors.
But the white font color is a little bit whiter than original color.
As far as I know, GMK use CP color for samples. But looks like sample's color is more like WS1.
So I need to contact GMK to find out what happened.

How do you guys feel about samples?

Indeed, the white font looks way too white. Other than that, samples look amazing! So hyped for this set!

The white font colour definitely looks brighter. Personally, I prefer the CP - but I bought an extras set (probably), so weight my feedback accordingly

Samples look pretty good! If I were to be super picky, I'd say the alpha colors are very close, but not quite there. If you look at the first picture, specifically focusing on the two alphas on the right that are upside down, you can see that the sample is definitely lighter than the OG. Now whether gmk can darken these up a bit to match the OG color and/or whether the community cares enough to pursue that is another question. I also agree that the white legends look brighter than CP.

I agree. It does look ever so slightly lighter.

CP and WS1 are GMK color, CP color is very similar to TA font color. But samples looks whiter than CP.
