Key caps for HHKB
« on: Fri, 23 September 2011, 12:07:18 »
I'm looking to find key caps for a HHKB pro 2. I would love to be able to find some red ones. Elite keyboards only sells white and black. Can anyone help me?

Thanks

P.S. Don't wanna spend more than $100 USD unless I have don't have any other choice.

There's also the option of RIT dying white keys.  HHKB caps in particular take dye well and look fantastic:

There are a couple of articles in the mod subforum that describe how.

I don't think I feel that comfortable dying keys that cost that much money.

I wonder if I can commission someone that has experience with this to dye some keys for me, keys will be provided of course.

I don't trust myself doing it myself lol

I have no actual experience dying key caps (yet), but out of curiosity, what would you be willing to pay someone to dye a full set?  Assume there was a replacement guarantee for melted/lost/botched/etc. caps.

the heartbeat thing was sort of kidding. I wouldn't pay that Much for keycaps at the moment. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't know what would be fair, since I don't know the cost of the materials + how much time it takes for the person either.

But I am willing to a pay a reasonable amount, I would probably buy a brand new blank white/grey set and have the whole thing done similar to the 2nd pick you linked
