In for a flexy boi

Any meaningful difference between the types of LEDs? Wondering what motivation you had to change it.

Just smaller ones. It shouldn't matter really since these aren't wireless, but they'll also use less power.

Alps-only (1.6mm thick) which will have alps-only compatibility (WKL, ANSI, and AEK) - need to add bigass enter at this time. This one will be gloss black
Does the Alps PCB support the AT101 set?

I haven't heard from my contact since I emailed him Monday. Re-emailed to see if he's on leave or something. Either way I think it'll be delayed a few days (at least) until I can get firm pricing.

If I order a plate and pcb together, would you just hold them both back to ship until the PCBs are ready or should I order the two separately?

Since plates are/will be in stock (eta 2 weeks for them to be in stock) they'll ship immediately while the PCBs will ship in May. If you really want me to hold on to them, PM me with your order numbers and I can take care of a partial shipping refund.

All have hit MOQ.

I've decided this will be my last big GB (except maybe HBCP one day), so get em while you can.

I‘m assuming this means that you won‘t stock neither of your PCBs in the future? This makes me think if I should add a few more PCBs the order I placed yesterday.

I'll def stock extras. I also plan to run the GB through vendors in the future, if not just stocking. I don't want to do the fulfillment myself going forward, so that's how I'll do them.

Phew.  I've been standardizing the PCB on my TKLs using the h87a (8 to date) and my heart sunk at the thought of not being able to get more in the future.
All I need now is VIA Configurator support :)

TWO MORE UPDATESSSS

Refactored and updated the QMK: https://github.com/hineybush/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards/hineybush/h87a

This will be added to the main QMK repo (and I think the Configurator) once the PR is approved.

Added ziptie holes for a direct-soldered cable. It's designed for the small zipties, like <4mm wide.

can someone highlight the differences between this PCB and the XD87 by kprepublic? Was ruminating on getting this for an alps tkl build for a while, then I came across the XD87 which apparently also supports alps. I see that this one uses QMK, which is awesome, but the XD87 being 12 dollars cheaper is definitely appealing to my literally empty wallet, especially if I'm considering buying two PCBs. and lastly, will the XD87 case work with this PCB? unsure of what bottom USB not top means and if it applies to the XD87 case, but if its something relatively easy that a dremel can solve, I'm okay with this. Hard pressed to find a cheaper tkl case anywhere, most of the compatible cases on the list are distant future end game cases at the moment.

Check the compatibility doc listed in the front page of this thread.

I also wouldn't recommend an xd87 pcb, I had one fail after simply unplugging it and the bootloader had to be reflashed. Cheaper isn't always better.

LESS THAN ONE WEEK TO GO FOR THE GB - ORDERS CLOSE THIS FRIDAY APRIL 19

I was asked how I'll handle the thinner PCB and stabilizer mounting. Typically they don't clip in very nicely and can wobble or lift a bit.

I fixed that issue:

Among the compatible cases, which one would you suggest? One that's available right now obviously  :thumb:

Are you guys doing a pcb mount keyboard or are you using a plate too?

LESS THAN ONE WEEK TO GO FOR THE GB - ORDERS CLOSE THIS FRIDAY APRIL 19

I was asked how I'll handle the thinner PCB and stabilizer mounting. Typically they don't clip in very nicely and can wobble or lift a bit.

I fixed that issue:

What are those and where can we get some?

They're just small FR4 spacers. I'm including them with all thin PCBs.
