nope no chance i tried my hardest to nab a spot in many ways and with no avail
I'm sure the select few that got in in time wouldn't have felt the frustration.

No offense but you are wrong and this needs clarifying:
1- Original GB was run by KCK himself through Google form and there was plenty of time to get on for those who followed IC - you have obviously missed that entirely
2- Due to payment processor issue the GB was not completed.
3- Mechboard processed GB payments for those who secured spots in original GB through password protected checkout - you obviously wasn't there cos we had 24hrs to do so.
4- There was a short window (maybe even 4 min as you are claiming) but it was ONLY for EXTRAS left for grabs after some original GB members gave up.

Everything I am writing above was clearly announced through multiple channels.
Therefore it is very unfair to claim the whole GB ended in 4min and cry now.
You can only be frustrated for not paying attention.

Thanks for admitting the fact you missed this, but why you keep bragging INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING from the fact it was NOT MAIN GB purchase window.
What matter is that clearly YOU WERE NOT on Discord during MAIN GB two weeks prior to what are you talking about when the window was comfortable long and for over TWO HOURS.
Do not bother with another reply - I have no time for this kind of altitude and you have earned ignore from me. Goodbye.

I'll just add. 4 minutes is eternity in limited item release whether it's keebs, sneakers, jewelry or whatever commodity. If you can't manage to cop in 4 minutes that's completely on you as others were more than capable to purchase/fill in within that time frame. And I'm pretty sure KY-01 didn't get botted. So who is to blame?

yes I was on discord. my discord uses a different user name.
for the average jo like myself that work 12 to 14 hr. to find a GB on a forum such as this then join a Dc then wait to release the website to then check the discord to get a private code is a hassle.

I missed the main ordering you are talking about. So I guess my experience must have been for the second part of the GB for the people that missed out.

anyways I'm sharing my experience. SO for my part it defiantly lasted 4 mins.

take from this what you will.

fingers crossed i get in on another

good day or night

and enjoy your keeb's

Just to be clear, I did cancel my order so no KY-01 for me, but for you, worry not since KCK has already confirm he has something else cooking up

There are other similar 75% boards worth attention coming soon i.e.:
Another UK based board KZ75 .
KBDFans will drop Bella by the end of the month.
BOX 75 is quite interesting project.
And of course The Evolv 75%.

Unfortunately they all require keeping close eye on Discord etc. to catch the train.

Depending to chosen layout of bottom row either 6.25U or 7U for spacebar and 3x 2U for ANSI or 2x 2U for ISO.

Bellow is an unofficial VIA enabling solution for KY-01:

Disclaimer:
This information is provided without any warranty and neither solution author, me or board designer/maker will be liable for any malfunctioning or damage caused by taking actions described below.
!!! YOU ARE DOING IT ON YOUR OWN RISK WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY WHATSOEVER !!!

How to flash the VIA firmware onto KY-01:
  • Download the hex file
(Alternatively, you can build the firmware yourself with the source code used for this build)
  • Get the QMK Toolbox up and running
  • Short the Reset pins to put your PCB in boot mode (short, then plug the USB, then remove the short). The pins are located near the Esc switch, shown here
(You can also hold both Shift keys and B while the keyboard is connected to go into boot mode. This might be easier if the keyboard is already assembled)
  • The keyboard should show up in the QMK Toolbox (yellow line "Atmel DFU device connected")
  • Open the "ky01_via.hex" firmware you just downloaded, and click Flash.
  • That should write the firmware on the PCB and automatically exit the boot mode (yellow line saying: disconnected..)
(if you have trouble flashing, make sure you have the proper driver installed. See this Discord conversation for more details.)

How to use VIA to set your layers/keymap on KY-01:
  • Get the VIA up and running
  • Enable "Show design tab" in the Settings
  • Load this json file In the Design tab
  • Now you should see KY-01 keyboard map in the Configure tab
(To learn how to use VIA watch YT turtorial)
  • Have fun setting up your keymaps!
  • Keep in mind that, until the KY01 is fully supported in VIA, you will have to load the json file every time you want to edit your keymap

Hopefully these steps are clear (maybe a bit too verbose for those already familiar with flashing).
We are happy to help you through KY-01 Discord channel if someone is struggling.

All credits to Yornn for creating this solution - I am just posting his (edited) info here.
