Title: Used '87 Model M Mini - $99.99 BIN
Post by: xyzzy on Tue, 26 May 2009, 07:45:42
It looks to be in good conditions from the photos. The seller also offers international shipping.

Not a bad price at all considering how the latest auctions went. Link (http://search.ebay.com/310144729300)

Not bad for the price I guess. I can't remember which seller I got a used mini from but it was pretty grimy under the keys and very well used. I cleaned it up but it felt pretty worn out to me, at least compared to the NIB ones I got. I ended up giving it away in a trade out with a fellow member. I think he ended up selling it on ebay too. : )

It could be a gem though, don't know. I would much prefer NIB at this point.

I have a couple NIB. And basically every kind of space saver they made.  And my main favorite is a 1987 I got off ebay for $75 BIN, from that guy that always lists Space Savers as "Hacker Style" lol ... anyways, it wasn't NIB, but the springs and sound is much more intense than all the other ones I own.  It is also the oldest one I have, which might have something to do with it (factory).

Nice. My favorite is the '94 that I got used on e-bay. It was my second one. The first one was the abused one. I got the '94 as a BIN for $75. The previous owner kept it immaculate. Once I saw it I bought it straightaway as it wouldn't have lasted.
I think I just got lucky though. I have bought a couple of nice regular model m's but I have also gotten a couple of 'worn' ones too. So I guess it all depends, and a little luck and timing help too.
