When buying an OTG cable is it just the female USB A to male USB micro (mini? I can never remember which is which) or is the male USB A to male USB mini included? Because on your site (http://pexonpcs.co.uk/products/otg-cables) two cables are pictured.

Can you make a short micro-mini USB cable with all 5 pins connected at both ends?  I'd like to use my tablet with a JD40 while it's charging but it needs a resistor between pins 4 and 5 to charge, then shorted for data.  If all 5 pins were available in the keyboard it will be easy to add a switch in there but all the cables I've chopped up only have 4 wires.  It's a good excuse to get a nice pretty cable too :D

I can do that sure! Do you have a value for the resistor? I wasn't sure that you could use the cable to charge AND use the keyboard with it though on OTG?

Apprently 100kohm will do (http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/threads/asus-vivotab-note-8-charging-and-usb-otg-at-the-same-time.61085/) but according to the spec it should be 125kohm.  I'm quite happy to experiment, a fully wired cable will be enough to do so :)

Are you sure dude? I could leave the connector off on the host side if needs be so you can have a play?

The host end needs to look good while the keyboard already has a 5 pin connector and space for the resistor and switch, so unless you know of any reason why the OTG connection needs to be right near the host this seems like the way to go.  At worst I end up with a slightly thicker than normal cable but it should still work like any other as nothing is expecting the extra connection, if I'm understanding it right (OTG didn't exists when I did USB for my dissertation at uni...)

Please let me know how I can order this cable and I will do so :)
