filphil, you should even be able to sell these with profit once the sets ship, likely in 2-3 weeks, so I suggest you endure :)

I could probably make a profit but that really wasn't my intention to do so.  I'll keep it up but if it doesn't sell then I'll just have to ask for cost + paypal + shipping after the set reaches me.

I know it isn't, but it's generally hard to sell unlaunched keycaps, but the moment they launch, you can even sell them before they reach you :)

Well mine is water so you got off easy :)

By the way, I have a deep appreciation of SA's now that I dealt with GMK+costar-stabs, cherry profile really needs cherry stabs (solved the issues, but it took hours)

SA is probably the most costar-friendly keycap set out there, 0 issues

On the other hand, this R3 shift ruins everything ... such awesome colorway, such awesome profile, and one R3 2.25 Shift to ruin it all ...

(standard layout is not that bad with the 2.75 R3, however, non-standard layouts are really messed, as the 1.75 Shift is R4)

There were no blank homies provided as extra in any kit? We're any of these made for the folks who went blanks plus the ergodox kit? Just wondering if the availability exists. If not I picked up some 1942 blank homies

SP said they were going to make blanks in all sizes with all the keysets they produce, available in their keyshop, but some say it only includes keysets from their gb-system, so with probably 30% chance you might be able to find the blank homing keys you are seeking from their keyshop

It might be a good idea to email them to ask about it

My extra keycaps seem to have shipped, so I'm guessing we should see some production photos of the actual set soon

I ordered some additional keycaps for a layout that isn't supported by this GB, since I ordered it before the Retro SA order, they were manufactured before

Since they shipped, I'm assuming production of these keycaps are underway too, but the launch was obviously not as imminent as I thought it would be :)

I believe the question is; will pkircher recieve a package from the US (which will have custom charges) or will international orders be sent to CtrlAlt (UK) in bulk, then sent locally inside of the UK (no custom charges).

I'm in Canada so I get busted by customs no matter what :D

When I selected the incorrect shipping type on my initial order bunny indicated that he'd be the one shipping the UK orders.

I made the switch to GMK's, but really tempted to attempt SA's again with this layout: http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/gists/95eb37bd05f9c2bcb0e4

extremely tempted (otherwise I was building a keyboard with a similar layout for GMK's)

when do we get to see some photos? :)

(I'm receiving my combined package thursday, if nothing goes wrong, don't know what I received from SP yet, Shipito usually sends consolidation photos, this time they skipped the photos for some reason, so I have no idea)

Get BOTH profiles, the Original GMK Cherry beauties and the SA Retro Profile.

That's what I've been doing for some time now, never regretted it for one second because both profiles have found room in a variety of keyboards with such ease  8) .

I'm with Elrick. I have heavily invested in both profiles, feel no need to choose one or the other. I love all my children equally.

Plus, SA Retro is a masterpiece no matter what the profile. Be at peace and bask in the glow of Matt3o's creative genius.
