That leopardwood with the dye and stain would be pretty epic

Hey tigersharkdude, was wondering if you would consider this website as a source for your awesome rests?

http://www.woodworkerssource.com/

I'm not sure if the pricing is right for you. I guess I'm just trying to help you find some sources to open up the possibilities  :p

Definitely considering an option 3 walnut rest with no stain. I'm just waiting on shipment of my TKL board so I can let you know exact measurements =)

I like that website, but shipping would be outrageous (I don't even want to know what an 8' x 10" x 4/4 piece would cost to ship)

$25 shipping for a 4' board of leapord wood :(

I recently found a lumber store that is somewhat close to me, and on Saturday I am going to try to go down there and get some prices

there website is pretty awesome (lots of wood choices) but everything is like 1" x 1" x 18" , 2" x 2", etc, etc. Maybe the store will have more stuff

I only brought those up because my monitors are heavy 27" with tempered glass, so when I was making a similar shelf in the past, I had to make it extra strong.  It's really a matter of how much weight they will be made to support and overall size.

I can stand on mine, as long as I stand on the sides, and Im around 248
well my monitor weight is around 7kg (15.5 pounds) so i guess it will survive ;)
Did your idea work btw?

waiting on my buddy to have some free time so I can go use his router table (he works like a mad man, 2 full time jobs)

Ive talked to a friend of mine, who is a master craftsman, and he said "It should definitely work, if you make the cuts correctly"

I am sad to say that I will not be accepting any new orders for the time being (possibly no future orders will be taken).

My table saw took a dump on me and I do not have the funds, nor feel like, buying a new one

Easy.  It's a cap box.  Either of the shadow variety or other.  I've been looking at making one for myself, but with a slightly different take on it.

But I would definitely want a painted finish like you have on yours. :)

Great rests. The one I won in Tigersharkdude's contest still looks like the day it arrived after months of punishment. Never realised how much I needed a rest until I had one, thanks again mate!
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I will not be using any other woods besides; pine, white wood, oak or cedar (at least not on this old saw). I tried cutting some really hard wood for Photoelectric and it messed up the blade and burnt the motor out on my table saw. That's why I'm gauging interest, to see if it's worth fixing my saw.

Pending wood type. My saw sucks pretty bad and can't cut hard wood (lol) .. ask Photoelectric ...

As long as it's pine or whitewood I can do it

Progress of the two plank pieces (one is slightly wider than the other, as requested). I still need to do a final sanding before I stain them
