Title: [Feedback] Hong Kong Keycaps
Post by: Radical_Assasin on Wed, 05 May 2021, 01:54:44
This is a concept for a set, inspired by Hong Kong. Any suggestions and feedback is much appreciated!

IDK if this is just a me thing, but the different colors on the modifiers with no apparent reason for their respective coloring doesn't look nice

There's a lack of logical consistency or balance in a few places.

The white-on-red f keys are very bold, while the orange-on-white are very subtle. Why not red-on-white instead?

Why is numpad plus so huge and top-aligned when nearby keys on the numpad is centre aligned?

Why not at least give both shifts the same color?

I would of personally kept with the orange on modifier keys and not just have random colors on them.

Depends on Which type of keycap you wanna make.
If it's resin keycap, you can add tons of icons there, from flag, building, ship to even food.
If it's 3D keycaps, the logic is the same but easier to make.
The idea is designing your keycap according to your preference and capability.
Hope it helps :)

The Hong Kong flag doesn't immediately come to mind when you said hk is the inspiration, please try again
