DSA is not for everyone. Expect sets for sale when im they start coming in. I'd camp the classifieds as soon as you see pics.

Yeah, but there weren't too many buyers of Ergodox kit - so I don't know if any of them will be willing to sell...

But who knows?

If you really want one of these sets, be patient, and stay on-line. I am afraid you are not alone waiting for some sets to go on sale, though.

In my experience after I have been using cherry profile for three years, the use of the DSA profile did not give me an instant gratification, however as I have been using my Macross set for some weeks now, I would not go back to the cherry profile anymore. So this upcoming Granite set would be my daily driver for some years to come.

I really like the look of the Macross set, the large and clear legends, the way the set looks on my keyboard, the colors. I just hope the legends in the Granite were as bold, and nice as the Macross ones are. Of course sublimated legends will be different than DS ones, but I'd like to see them to come as nice as the DS ones are. Besides, the nice icons the Matt designed for the modifiers are way too cool to let this set passes by.

Just curious.. is DSA easier to adjust to than SA profile? I've never used anything DSA yet.. but very much looking forward to this set.

DSA more closely mimics laptop keyboards than any other profile.  So your love of dsa will be at least a little bit related.

What do you mean by "closely mimics"? I have right now in front of me my X61T keyboard and my FC660M with DSA, and there is no way to say they are similar. Nor in look neither in feeling.

more so than any other profile wouldn't you agree?

it's the lowest of all profiles AND it has uniform rows.

sort of like a chiclet board.  they're short and their heights are uniform on all rows.

I get it, however, it's not comparable.
Laptop keys have FAR less space between the caps and DSA does have some shape.
DSA was really easy to get used to; I switched from DCS no problem.
As always, please sell me your granite orders; thank you.

Yea much love for Melissa and how responsive and respectful SP is going through this process. I'm sure the massive support of this group buy was a curve ball for them but they've handled it with grace. Can't wait to see what the finished product is like.

Overall I'm satisfied by the end result

The legend reflects the grainy texture, but consider that this is a super close up. The numlock was one of the "problematic" legends with lines close to each other and still it came out really really well.

if you look at it at 1:1 is simply fantastic.

I am glad you decided to take the icon modifiers, the set is beyond anything currently available, so it will be a unique set, due to caps profile, material, and legends. What else a fine KB collector may ask for in a set? And you can even use it daily with no concerns for it to wear off in a few months. Coolness!

The set looks well beyond my expectations in terms of contrast and quality of the sublimation process. Well done SP. Now please keep the processes left under control, full production sublimation, and shipping.

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Everyone hold him to that. No more keycaps for that guy after this.
