plot twist: it's not water that makes them soggy...

You newbs, it's mayonnaise that makes it all go soggy. I suspect you need to empty half a liter to give it that full creamy taste  ;) .

Matteo (or SP reps), do you know if those 5-10 days before distribution are also true for the INTL sets?
I suppose getting the order without the INTL sets and having the INTL sets send afterwards is not a possibility due to shipping costs. Though I wouldn't mind paying that extra fee to get the set a little earlier (without the INTL set at first).

5-10 days for the orders without INTL, add 5 days for INTL. Please note I've been pretty pessimistic in my forecast

Pessimistic or not, that is great news!

Will Granite also be packed in a fancy "Thank You" box? :)

When I asked that same question in this thread a while back I was informed that the sets would be coming in a brown paper bags.

soggy brown bags if i remember correctly.

My mailman doesn't hate me enough to leave my mail under the rain, in Raincouver ;)

This was a very successful GB, therefore, I think SP will be very careful to not leave a bad impression with a cheap package. While the nice TY box that was included with the very first GB may be only for the first one, I think that due to the high demand and unique characteristics of this second set, they may want not to drop the ball at this last detail.

damn i want this set so bad, hard to be patient

my hyperfuse DSA and retro DSA are both really shiny and slippery, my greasy sweaty fingers seem to destroy expensive ABS sets, i need me some dyesub PBT to bring the texture back! my HHKB never shined up the way these ABS and POM sets I have did.

I said that they set the bar pretty high with that first GB.

Here's hoping they can maintain that level of awesome!

That left only PBT caps as the option for those that do not like a shiny surface to type on.

PMK setup a lot of new processes for this GB, AFAIK.

Which might suggest some trial and error.

Keep an eye out in the next round of Crap Bags for PBT DSA Granite-like keycaps ;)

There will probably be a lot of the light blue legends from the INTL and nerdom kits in there.

He might be referring to the no dutiable goods. For us 'regular'  :p countries, we have to ship priority international with insurance or they won't even let it across your border.

I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing the intl mono-legend kit--which basically became a second nerdom kit--and another numpad kit, so I could go full mono-legend.

Shucks...

I thought this at least once during the GB order phase, but I decided not to order it, cost-wise. I may regret it, but I may do it again, as I do prefer to stick with my budget for my hobby, and not affect other budgets.

Did you not get a discounted rate? The rates I get are very reasonable - -  far cheaper than FedEx and UPS.

Amazon's rates are even more amazing with DHL...

No, they stopped when they realize that:
1. It's not used that often.
2. Somebody is abusing the system.

[why didnt I just pick up the extra alpha set?]
Tell me about it...

This hobby defines my budget.

If that were my case I should be starving.

I subsist entirely on a diet of ramen whenever my hobbies get the best of me :(

I finally got the Granite, I still miss the international legends, but what I have is simply CAPSTASTIC!

The print resolution is better than I expected and the legends are all perfect in both thickness and position. I totally love this set. It is great to type on and to see.

Some pictures, I'll post more later together with some comments (and very few teeeny weeeny issues)

The box is HUGE

A load of plastic

On the best keyboard ever!

Nerdom details

Icon mods

The RGB kit is fantastic

Because this is their (SP) absolute FIRST PBT set released to the public then they have really done good  :thumb: .

Proud to have bought some off them, can not wait to see them up close and to have them installed ready for use in some keyboards.

Thanks Matt for keeping us informed as usual  ;) .

Great work! I like your attitude to make sets with features no one else has made before. Keep it up!
