Indeed the cyrillic set looks really nice.

So, overall the set is fantastic, with few very little problems. The kitty-cap is a bit too complicated, I had to make the legend as large as possible and it didn't turned out as cute as I wanted, but it's nice nonetheless. Same goes for the cherry MX switch from top. Too complex graphics don't come very well (noted for the next time).

Everything else is perfect. The legends are well sized and thickness is good. Legends alignment is good overall but I'd say 1 over 50 legend is slightly shifted on a side (not my fault but due to the sublimation process).

Anyway the legend definition is really good and as I already said better than I expected. To me this is the definitive DSA white/gray set.

PS: thanks Mooby

Damn, I'm really kicking myself for not getting in on this when I had the chance. Those keys look phenomenal! Is there any chance that a vendor like techkeys or someone else ordered some?

Realforce EK45 (Silenced)  |  Realforce 87UW (45g)  |  Realforce 87UWS (Variable)
Filco MJ2 TKL (Cherry Clears)  |  Phantom 87 (78g Gateron Clears)  |  Phantom 86 (67g Zealios)

There will be a second round. But it won't be within the next few months. If you're patient you will get the chance to grab your granite set.

there will be a round 2 sooner or later (like there will be a round 2 of DSA Retro), but don't hold your breath AND please note that it will be slightly different from this one.

Ah great! If it were compatible in colors it may be an opportunity for those who joined the first round to complement the current set with new options, or with some missing ones. Super, not holding my breath though. Plenty of time to enjoy my upcoming caps.

I finally got the Granite, I still miss the international legends, but what I have is simply CAPSTASTIC!

The print resolution is better than I expected and the legends are all perfect in both thickness and position. I totally love this set. It is great to type on and to see.

Some pictures, I'll post more later together with some comments (and very few teeeny weeeny issues)

Yay - I was only able to grab a numpad on the past buy. I may just have to pick up the whole set on round 2!

Any chance of some extra blue enter keys? :D :D

I will at least buy the needed set to make granite fit a 84 keyboard. Just realized too late this was possible.

Is it hand wired or did you get a PCB made for it?  You must have gotten a custom plate made too?

If you plan to make more of those plates, I would definitely buy a couple.  I could use the Enabler to hand wire it which would probably make it a bit more affordable to build.  A PCB would be good too.  :)  I am very interested in that layout.  If you ever plan to make more plates like that please PM me.  :)

there will be a round 2 sooner or later (like there will be a round 2 of DSA Retro), but don't hold your breath AND please note that it will be slightly different from this one.

Did any vendors buy many sets?  Happens sometimes.

These look better than ever, I just hope I like typing on DSA :p

Thank you very much for sharing the progress so far, Matt3o!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I think I love that layout. I've been on the market for a programmable 60% and universal plate, but I haven't been able to come up with a layout that has dedicated arrow keys [or a function set that feels like arrow keys] the bottom row never works out with 1u and I hate 1.25 arrow keys. [thats kbt race -.-]

I would love to at least try that layout.

Interested as well. I've been looking for an ISO around that size, but would settle for an ANSI.

Is this board related to the GH60++ or the GH75 threads that were floating around last year?

What set do you have to buy to get the "FN" key that is the same size as the CAPS LOCK?

Because I use a Poker II, and I used the dip switches to change my caps lock into a function key instead. I only ordered the basic set and text modifiers. I hope the FN key is included in those :\

You would've had to get the Text Pro Mods for that key, I believe.

So are those key caps the final product or are there still changed that need to be made? When will they be shipping?

I think something is odd with the whole GB concept. At first we try to get a high amount of orders to hit the MOQ and reduce prices. Then, after deadline, tons of people want to order, but they can’t anymore. We all lose money this way. I guess alot of people want to see a prototype in a nice presentation before they’re getting in, isn’t it?

And more importantly,  at a reasonable price. Bulk buying power = substantially lower costs.
Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.
