SP (PMK?) has lived up to their high bar on packaging :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

So, same "Thank you caps" as with Macross set? Sehr gut :)

It seems SP making them part of their unique touch. And I don't mind extra ds caps :)

Quick picture to show what the numpad looks like populated. I left the num lock key off for the curious(stock clears are the best haha!)  :). The current keys I have on here are a mix of the stock Rosewill set and some double shots that I got in my grab bag.

Stay tuned for some bad photography.

ahem.  you rang?

only thing I need now is for massdrop to send me the aluminum plates they should have sent me a month ago.

Nope. I desoldered the browns that were in there and soldered in the clears myself.

YES the very best presentation of caps from a company in an almost Japanese style.  You can even buy apples in a large grocery store packed the same way in Japan, you would think it's something extremely precious  8) .

It does! :-)

I think the lack of official information, and enormous amount of unofficial information (from Matt3o and people in this thread that have received newsletters/communications from SP) are starting to get to me. I feel uneasy and unsure if their system is working properly. I've had to talk to Melissa a few times to make sure my email was in their system and everything was OK with my order.. So seeing that I'm not the only one that haven't received a shipping notification puts my mind to ease!

Welp, I got distracted by some Counter-Strike and never got around to taking all the caps off. I will get my Rosewill all done this evening after work and post a picture in this thread so that we can see what it looks like on a full size keyboard.

Side note, my spacebar was flat so no hair dryer for me!

Just got in my kit! Wasn't expecting it until Monday actually.

Some of my keys have minor knicks on the bottom, spacebar included--non visible once installed on the board though.

About to put these on my 10key!!

I'm digging it. The  top row keys text don't map to function but using the original Leo keys kills the entire look. I hardly use that row anyway -- [ESC. TAB, = . BackSpace]

Hold onto that anticipation and excitement, soon it'll all be over! Idk maybe I'm totally weird but I like this phase of group buys where everything is squared away & I'm just waiting for some magic to show up in the mail... I was super pumped about HyperFuse for so long, then when it finally came & the thread was locked, I had a little sad :))

Matt3o, it's been said many times but I've got to repeat it - you completely killed it with this design! I'm so excited to see these shipping out and people putting them on their boards... though personally I'm glad to have a little time to think about what to do with all these keys!

I ordered a buttload of stuff across three different tickets; finally put it all into a spreadsheet & came up with a few fun stats.

Highest percentage discount: 65.52% (Blue Enter key, $9.25 saved from initial cost of $14.50)
Lowest percentage discount: 2.78% (Extra Homing Keys, $0.25 saved from initial cost of $9.00)
Most saved on a single kit:   $17.75 (Text RGB Kit, 52.21% discount from initial cost of $34.00)
Least saved on a single kit:  $0.25 (Extra Homing Keys, 2.78% discount from initial cost of $9.00)

Thanks to everyone else also buying so much stuff, I saved $108.75 over the initial cost of my order - you guys rock!

  never!

This set comes together very nicely!! Even without the colored mods (WTB colored mods). The enter key I got from the SP grab bag from earlier this year. I have a couple extra but they have some imperfections on them.

Now for the one downside I found, not sure if I just got unlucky or if this is a known problem. For some of the key caps that require stabilizers, in one of the stems part of the mold keeps a co-star white clip thing from going all the way into the stem. For you guys rocking cherry stabilizers, I don't think this will be an issue. When I actually use these keys they are fine but I figured I would go ahead and point it out. I tried to get a picture of it but it didn't come out too well. I hope you guys can see what I mean.

On a completely off topic side note, can the next set be based around Jet Set Radio/Jet Set Radio Future? This definitely doesn't have anything to do with listening to the sound track while I put these caps on.  ;D

yeah, the colored mods definitely make things look better, IMO.  if only the ergodoxian came with more colored mods...

if you guys don't post photos I'll ask Melissa to recall all packages! :D

Have to receive them before I can post pictures :p

if i were an evil narcissist, i'd say recall them.  so then these keycaps would be that much more exclusive.

alas, these keycaps are too awesome to not have!

thanks again, Matt3o!

No shipping notification for me yet, but a race is on: which will I receive first -- 34UM95 monitor or these keycaps. Quite frankly, if they arrive on the same day, I'll probably open the SP package first.   :D
Keyboards: Code MX Clear, Minivan Aliaz switches
Keycap sets: DSA Granite, SA Ice Cep

I'd guess SP is working out some issues.

Same problem on some DSA Dolch caps -- using an electronics wire cutter to clip about 1mm of the inserts stem fixed it (cut just above the barbs.)

Here are some pics. Did the best I could with the lighting I had. Great set. Doesn't really shine with a clear ergodox case though, might need to get an aluminum top layer.

Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.

That is the most beautiful ergodox I've ever seen!

If you don't mind, could you take a picture from the side of your 60% board, so I can see how high the caps ride on the switches. :)

I'm putting this set on a ducky mini, and replacing the number row with the F-caps, to give it a little dazzle!
