10-16-23 We've hit soft cap, the GB is now closed, thanks to people who have supported this project!
10-17-23 Order placed with manufacturer! Undergoing some last checks before production.
11-02-23 Keycaps finished production. QC is now underway. Shipping projected to be in the next few weeks!
11-09-23 GB is now concluded as all orders have been shipped out. Support will remain open until everyone is happy with their sets! Thank you all, see you in the next one!

---

IMPORTANT 10-09-23 UPDATE: Here are the changes that will be made to the GB kit.
 303010-1

IMPORTANT 10-13-23 UPDATE: Due to concerns with my PayPal/Shopify connection and PayPal locking funds, I will be changing the sale method into Google forms + PayPal invoices. This allows me to minimize the risk for both parties and make sure the payment is a smooth process. GB time remains unchanged. Thank you!

Approved :thumb:

PSA to prospective buyers:
Group Buys are inherently risky endeavors. There is an element of risk involved with collecting payment before the item has been produced and resulting uncertainty during manufacturing / subsequent operations. We urge all GB organizers to consider (and document) these risks, and want to make it clear to all who consider purchasing that these risks are present.

If you are unfamiliar with the Group Buy model, please read this primer - Group Buy FAQ / Buying Guidelines

This PSA is new and will become standard on all Group Buys moving forward. It is not posted on this GB in isolation and is not singling this organizer out in particular as someone to be wary of.

Just realized this kit does not have a R3 1.5u backspace. Any chance of getting it added in? I realize a R3 1.5u backspace is not really a vintage thing, but I think it would be a great addition to this set so it is able to be used with split backspace or HHKB builds.

So yeah, you are right! Support for HHKB, 60%, and Alice are not my main goal for this set (I think you can get other sets to support them more easily)

That said, the manufacturer does include it in their sample kit they sent over(just as part of their base kit). So, no promises - but its likely it'll be included in the kit!

Thanks for the support guys! Soft cap at 30 is just to prevent me biting off more than I can chew - but I'll fulfill as many kits as I can(if it comes to that) ;)
Extras will also be avail.

That would be nice if it gets tossed in by the manu, but understandable if not. My concern is that the ones I got from ePBT & CRP sets won't match this set, realistically though XMI sets are fairly affordable & not super hard to get (I think 21KB uses XMI blanks) so I could always grab one that matches that way too.

I have a question regarding to the keycap. does the keycap stem have the same height as GMK? where they are slightly shorter? or is it the same height as keycap height?

From my testing - the keycap stem is the same height as the keycap height. (I tested it using a ruler and it looks the same)
Just curious, is there an advantage to either type?

Some keyboard were design with GMK cherry in mind, so the keycap lands exactly where the keyboard frame is at. It makes the board more flush looking... such as Jane v2...etc

Got my set in today! :thumb: Came with a bunch of awesome stickers, a chocolate bar, & a ton of extra keys that were not shown in the render! Awesome job & huge thanks Masej! ;)
Keys in the render (the extra B shouldn't have been in this pic)
304316-0
Keys we actually got (bonus HHKB & Alice support, plus some extra novelties)
304318-1
Also should mention both the 7u & 6.25u spacebars in my set are straight as an arrow. Haven't checked every single key, but if the spacebars have no warping I highly doubt any other keys will. The dyesub is crisp & everything looks to be aligned properly. This is my first XMI set & gotta say I'm impressed! With these guys & JC Studios/Leek bros pumping out these high quality yet affordable dyesub PBT sets, ePBT better watch its back! Honestly the only PBT caps I'd recommend over these or JC/Leek caps is CRP, although with the caveat that you gotta be willing to spend almost triple for them compared to these sets!

I also got mine in today, the stickers are awesome! The dyesubbing was decent: on par with other XMI kits I have got (better than most other dyesubs). There were a few that are more blurry than others, but it's better than most other dyesubs (as expected). Some of the very small / tight legends are very clear.

304326-0
Here is a cherry key at 45x. The one on the enter is a bit smaller, but I didn't get as good a photo of it. This shows very clear separation between the very close together ink lines and overall good bleed too.

304322-1
Here is "beige inside" at about 30x. The right hand side is out of focus, but you can see the bleed in the middle of the b, e, and g. This is very good.

304324-2
Here is "esc" at 75x. The lower half of the "c" in one of the two escape keys is a bit lighter than the top. Overall this is hardly noticeable. Again, bleed is minimal.

Overall this was a fantastic GB and I'm very happy.
