Looks like hall effect (let me know if that's not the case!), either way the layout is almost usable and the monoprofile caps could be moved around to match US QWERTY(?)

That's a fascinating piece of tech right there. Kinda makes me want to build a Hall effect based board myself now, which sounds like a really fun project.

They're actually pretty accessible but I think a from-scratch project would still be fun.
