Keyboard of the Month - December - Nominations
« on: Thu, 04 January 2018, 04:16:35 »
Of course, due to the holidays and other factors, I have been unable to get online to set up the nomination thread. But here it is! This is for DECEMBER and will be the final nomination thread for the 2017 Keyboard of the Month/Year competition.

Last month's winner was Dudesnail's TGR 910

This thread will be up for two weeks, then the vote thread will start immediately after, then we will have the keyboard of the year vote which will run at the same time as the nomination thread for January 2017.
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

Easy. Probably slight bias, but I just think it's super clean and wonderful.

A bit of backstory of how I finally fixed the stripped screw: search for a local handyman on Yelp.

And how he fix it: use a drill to slowly strip away the head of the screw piece by piece. Took one minute.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Oooooh, boy. I guess that's the trouble with being so late to start the nomination threads... Sorry xondat!
