Hi all!

I guess I will join the chorus of new voices here on geekhack.

A couple months ago, I wanted a new keyboard.  Things really took off from there.  I've been playing around with TONS of stuff, buying keyboards and keycaps, etc.  Just today I upgraded some stabs to some Durock V2s, lubed them, etc.  I have my first solder kit on the way, too!

Anyway, I've been in the hobby for maybe 2 months or so, and I'm really excited to keep it going.  I'm a software engineer, so eventually I hope to do a full custom build, potentially with custom firmware as well for the sake of it.

I'm a big fan of the clicky switches (though, I'm typing on some Gateron Ink Yellows at the moment - I really like these).  Box Jades for the win!

Cool, I am a fan of clicky's too. Have you seen the white owls? They look awesome.

I am a big fan of the box style of switch, but I bought one of those 72 key testers and didn't care for the feel of the Kaihl box Jades. I have heard good things about the white owl switches though.

I love the box switches, too.  I recently ordered some of the Royals, but they haven't arrived yet.  Did you try the Navys?  The Navys are super hardcore (90g!!) - I kind of feel like they're similar to the Jades but heavier, but it's been a while since I used them, so I could be off.

I like the look and sound of the Owls, but it looks like they'll have interference on cherry caps, so I'm going to pass.

These sound great, but for the same reason as the Owl v2, I'm going to pass (Cherry interference regardless of LED position).

Cool dude, Yeah the box Navy's are in my tester and they are pretty hard core. I am pretty sure I would have fatigue after gaming and typing on that :S
