I just cracked a Ninkasi Tricerahops DIPA and the peach hop aroma was so powerful I was inspired to create this thread.

That's what I was going to get (Boulevard Double-Wide IPA), but instead I won the idiot of the day award. For whatever reason, this thread had me convinced today was Saturday, but its Sunday meaning I cannot get beer! I actually drove to two places before I put it together lol. All of this is making me reappreciate living in Pittsburgh for undergrad, which is where I started drinking beer lol.

Whatever, I'm gonna go open a bottle of Shiraz lol

I highly recommend New Belgium 2013 La Folie, it's quite nice this year, and probably the most available of anything in this picture!

It is! VERY flavorful. However it has about 14% alcohol so you have to be careful.

Yes!  It's a phenomenally interesting and complex brew- shame you don't have it out there.  Does Sixpoint not have distribution where you live?

Just curious, do you have the Chimay Speciale Cent Cinquante over by you?

Completely mediocre and I wouldn't recommend to someone looking for a good beer.  If you want a good Belgian white that's not too hard to find, check out the Avery White Rascal. One of my favorite breweries and one of my favorite summer beers.

What I had last night:



Not my favorite, but definitely an interesting beer.  I prefer my porters smokier instead of hoppier with strong caramel malts.

One of my favorite beers of late:



Awesome off the tap, unfortunately it was a limited release beer.  It's by far one of the most accessible sours I've ever had.

Other awesome recent beers include several from Drake's brewing:





By far my favorite IPA is the Avery Maharajah:



I gravitate toward citrusy (especially grapefruity) IPAs and the Maharajah delivers that.  I'm always looking for others that are citrusy, herbal, or spicy.  A little pine is okay, but I am not a fan of the dank ones.  If I wanted something that tasted like marijuana, I'd cook with cannabutter.

Then there's the Belgians, Stouts, Porters, Sours, and slew of other awesome IPAs.  Unfortunately, I can't get many of the awesome IPAs I used to since I left Seattle.  At least now I can get some Drake's, by far one of my favorites out there along with Avery and Unibroue.

I haven't.  The places near me that have Drake's only have some of their year round stuff and the Jolly Roger and Denogginizer right now.  They don't always seem to have all the seasonal Drake's stuff, so I hope they get it.  They do have a lot of mediocre local stuff like Cismontane and Bayhawk and some other mediocre to average California stuff like Hangar 24 and Karl Strauss.

I have a fantastic place two streets away from home:



They have tons of differents beers separated by brand and region. They also have labels describing the type of beer and alcohol degrees. This is the shop where I buy all my beers and you can even taste them there.

It's a really cool place to find a lot of beers but unfortunately they don't have Apenzeller bier  Those from Switzerland will know this beers and they taste amazing: Appenzeller Bier

I was in their factory and had the chance to see it and buy directly from them in there.

My mum went to Paris last month  and she brought me some beers like this one:



They tasted really good but nothing strong.

And I like to drink that one when playing Chivalry: Medieval Warfare just because it has an archer in the label
