Before our humble forum goes boom, I thought it might be fun to post our favorite memories of GH. Screenshots/videos/stories all encouraged.

Favorite memory was finding a community that was into keyboards, as I didn't think there were that many others. I just hope that the community itself stays despite what happened...

I remember when ripster contributed a lot of awesome keyboard knowledge here. I joined shortly before his departure, but I always enjoyed his contributions.

First clackvent.

Was a time when I was pretty new and was able to learn so much about the community through therapy banter.  I think had I not taken part of the constant thread checking, I would never have been as involved in the community as I ultimately became.

Now its all about to end.  C'est la vie

Probably the 2016 North Carolina meetup

Stayed in a large airbnb with some great community members that have become good friends

The meetup was also before my collection really started blowing up so at the time it was great for me to explore all the options out there as far as artisans, boards, keysets, and switches go.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

Two other events I really loved, 2015 Keycon and meeting CPTBadAss.

clickclack

He's the reason I joined in the first place, and whenever he posted or had a sale were easily some of the most entertaining moments on the forum. Aint no drama like Clack drama.

One of my favorite geekhack memories is when I won my first and only clickclack (tri color salute).
It was my 2nd time entering one of the sales and it turned my really crappy day around when I saw the email notification.
I never participated in the future sales since I felt like it would make a potential someone else as giddy as I did haha (which I guess was not very wise from a monetary standpoint but... money can't buy happiness, right?)

2015 keycon was awesome. I have this great memory of bumping into you and HoffmanMyster by the elevator at the hotel. I recognized you from a live stream I watched only a few weeks before. Meeting CPTBadAss was also pretty amazing.
