Old IBM's for gaming? Reprogramming keys?
« on: Mon, 01 July 2019, 08:48:04 »
Third topic today. My posts come in waves. So I am wondering about how viable the Beamsprings and Model F's are considering the fact that they have quite a high actuation distance if I'm correct. If anybody knows the actuation distance that would be great. I am also wondering about reprogramming keys in windows to make them more useful, say for example you had the error reset on the 5251 (I would personally prefer to have a control in place of this.)

Concerning the second question: If you use a xwhatsit controller to make a 5251 useable for modern computers, you have to assign all the keys first anyhow. So you can place the CTRL and all other keys as you like.
