Kailh KH switches.
« on: Fri, 28 June 2019, 23:46:22 »
I just found the Kailh KH switches family with three types, red, brown and blue. They follow the convention for linear, tactile and clicky, but they appear to have shorter travel. Does anyone have information about them?

Upon quick glance it looks like it has the same mounting space/pin location as cherry mx, so my assumption is that it's compatible to any cherry mx pcb but just shorter.

Making it a lot easier to build a keyboard with this and use your existing kits/keycaps.

The "Tesoro Agile" switch in the Tesoro Gram Spectrum could be this switch.

Edit: TaeKeyboards' review, with closeups. They look the same as in the image above.

I hope that its mounting locations are MX compatible. I may try them for a rebuild of a PCB that I have. Also, I am not sure if these switches may get standard MX caps.

The switches in the video look the same as the KH.

Do you know when these switches are released? They look medium profile. They must certainly feel good too.

They are available at AliExpress.

I am thinking if I should buy some to try them. Not sure yet though.

I'd say wait.  If they're any good, mike will stock them on Novelkeys. :)
