Hello Geekhack,

I've become more and more into typing, and have collected a few keyboards, so I thought I would join since I tend to end up here anyways!  My arsenal:

- DAS Keyboard Ultimate S (Cherry browns, no markings)
- Razer BlackWidow Ultimate (Cherry blues, blue backlit)
- Thermaltake Challenger Ultimate (dome keys, 256-color backlit)
- Apple BT Wireless keyboard

I intend to round out the gang with a compact or tenkeyless with Cherry Reds in the near future.

I can't explain why but I really enjoy the sensation of typing, the precision and speed, etc.  A weird geeky thing about me that's developed, I suppose!

Right now, I mostly use my DAS keyboard, but I have to admit I find the Apple keyboard is very pleasant despite being membrane because the keys are so snappy.  I'm about 85 wpm on the Apple, and around 80 on the mechanicals (with accuracy being my priority).

Who knew this would end up being a fairly expensive hobby after all??

Thanks!

All the best keyboards in one collection? Why did you even join? To show off?

Best? From what I understand, the Blackwidow is considered by many to be a low-grade mechanical keyboard... although I like it just the same.  I don't even use the Tte Challenger really, although it's very quiet and not too mushy!

I rarely see any mention of the Apple keyboards anywhere.  For the price, they really aren't half-bad.

Lurking around here at reviews of keyboards with Red cherries, although I shouldn't buy one til the old finances settle a little bit ;)
