Looks interesting but proto[Typist] isn't an EU vendor. With shipping and import, EU people will probably pay about 20% more than they would from an actual EU vendor.
Please look into having a real EU Vendor for this GB  :thumb:

UK Vendor Here

Where EU is mentioned by Binepad they mean Europe not specifically the European Union. I did suggest during discussions having both EU and UK vendors and this was the option they wanted to try after working in other ways across this new situation in the past.

The price you see on the site is EX-VAT so you dont pay VAT twice. At checkout the Zonos app does appear and gives you the option to either be in control of paying your taxes at the time of purchase, or paying your own duties and taxes when the item goes through your customs. The £43.33 price would have VAT added by any EU vendor as well (which varies depending on the country you are in)

There is a guide on my site as to how this works here: https://prototypist.net/pages/brexit-impacts-to-sales-and-shipping

If you have any questions when purchasing via Prototypist you can reach out to me at jae@prototypist.net

I am sorry but this isn't a real solution for European Union people.
The pay taxes at checkout is £48.24 with shipping to France, that is 109€ total. From a European Vendor the total would be around 60-65€ with shipping and vat included.
If I pick the cheapest shipping option you have for £12, then add my local VAT and processing fees for customs the total cost would still be around 88€ which is about 25% more than a person would pay from a European Union Vendor.

At this point I would rather buy it from the USA vendor and use a shipping proxy.

Thank you Jae, what you wrote is technically correct but when I say that "we pay double" I do not mean VAT but I mean that the final price with taxes, shipping and above all duty (which if managed by a country of the European community would not exist) would be practically the double the net price of the pad.

Like it or not, the situation is this: the hypothesis of buying from the UK (obviously only for those who buy as in my case from a European Union country) is not very attractive since the latter is no longer part of the EU.

So how can I just buy the sound dampening housing part inside the top? My bnr1 is still fine but that would definitely help lol

Please add VIA support for V1 and V2. Some of us prefer it over VIAL.

Accepting some of your opinions, BNR1 is now listed on European vendor website Candykeys

Is there any way to get firmware to control the audio levels of a specific application? IE I could set it to control my spotify volume only, or a certain game volume. I had an R1 of these and I liked the solid machined aspect of it, but since I use an amp, I don't really touch windows volume levels unless I want to mute my PC. Would def buy if I could use it for spotify

Can a lighter knob really reduce the wobble?
For me V1 is wobbly as soon as I touch it.

I feel like only a very thin bearing spacer of some sort could remedy that.
What do others think of their V1?

I've been fairly happy with my V1 Knob, but I agree that it wobbles as soon as you touch it. I'd be curious to know whether the finish on the base will be 'paint', as in the V1, or if it will actually be anodized. I'm going to assume it's going to be painted again, since no mention has been made with respect to finishes.

This time we will get it bead blasted and anodized.

Does it register as a keyboard and run under Linux, too?
