[eBay] BroHoHo Reaper - SOLD!
« on: Sun, 25 October 2015, 11:04:37 »
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/-/161869366985?

Eh, figured I won't be needing this on my hiatus.

May get a lot of flack for this since I'm that BroCap Incident guy, but my loss is your gain. Take it off my hands!
(See my sale thread for info and feedback from my recent sale. Sold a bunch of stuff without a hitch)

Hehe, thanks. If it was Topre, I would probably keep it, but the square stem doesn't work on MX Topre Sliders either ;(

Would love to have this, but will probably end up being too rich for my blood. Good luck with sale, will be watching.

Won't comment on his forum actions and the act of selling but from a transaction perspective temence is not too bad to work with. Have certainly dealt with worse users.

Yup, and that was definitely a dark time in terms of the actions I did.

However, take a look at this for more recent events:

Sigh...didn't want to weigh in but I guess I will.

So you sold your stuff at retail/cost (this should be the standard, not the exception), but now want to flip your bro?

OK, but let's forget the whole selling thing, and as an example, say you come out of nowhere and decide to give your bro away. I'm sure at least a few people would still question or even demean the action. Double standard.

True about the double standard.

Yes, I do admit to the flipping and hope to have the bro go for a bit, since it's my last bro, but I know there's also a possibility that this won't even sell for much considering what I did in the past. On another note though, I've set the starting bid at below my initial cost of purchasing, if that helps any.

Not into all the drama or anything, just stating the facts

No matter what you did, nobody is going to care when it comes to the Bro sale on eBay.

If people want it, this is their chance of doing it. They don't care the story behind it.

It would help if you sold it at retail price or at least something reasonable. Auctioning it just makes you look greedy and doesn't help the cause.

Why would he sell at retail...  Never understood this mentality.  You win the ability to buy a limited edition cap and you get a collectible.  I have plenty of collectibles of which none of their respective communities would chastise me for selling above retail.  This mentality just confuses the **** out of me.  Especially with all the current talks of "entitlement" regarding bro caps.  Just strange to see such a high end collectible market drinking up some sort of keycap socialism.

/steps off box

Good luck with the sale man.  I bid up to the current 150 and just couldn't go any higher, was hoping to get it for a steal.

What about selling at retail is confusing? Bro Caps has stated that his caps are not to be sold above retail - doing so may result in forfeiting rights to participate in future sales. It's just the request of the artist. Doesn't mean everyone will honor that request.

The confusing part is the entire concept.  I am not arguing what the man said or what his wishes are.  I am just saying that the idea is strange.
