I am xiaodian, one of the new member here even you don’t know me yet, working at the distributor of Cherry in China, a fan who also loving the keyboard and keycaps just like you. It’s the first time to start a GB at GH and I will try my best to promote the GB successfully and take something new at here.

this set's key selection is a big improvement over the earlier valentine's set, which was a great colorway but unfortunately did not include basic things like WKL support and standard legend alternates for the novelty keys.

Regarding with the GMK Valentine (We call it CHERRY KC 520), I am not to prove it's popular by keyboard (Or keycaps) enthusiasts.
The target user is Cherry and other brand's nomal user(Not enthusiasts.
The distributor and retailer earn the profit. That's the companys business, even the end user don't care at all only need the reasonable price.
So the Classic Retro set will do it better, add more addition keycaps and lower price I hope.

Hmm.. I don't see how that set helps (other than giving me a R1 Del End PgDwn). They are all 1u keys, and the only ZZ96 layout that uses 1u front row modifiers with arrow keys uses a 6u spacebar (I think extra space is 7u in this buy?). It would also require mixing R4 with R5.
I'm looking at this layout diagram:

I guess I could use the original set to make the layout 1st from the bottom, with the 7u R4 space and the 1.5 R5 mods, but I don't want to rely on 7u spacebars. I think it depends on the specific layout you look at: There are layouts/languages which use |\ as R3 (right), some (UK) have |\ on R4 (left) and others do not have it at all.
But since the legends in this GB are US legends, I think the most logical thing would be to just match the US-layout.
For US and US-Intl both (R3 and R4) keys are effectively |\.
So my suggestion would be to replace the blank key with |\ also, or leave it as is.

Now I got you and I can comment on that because I use R5 profile in one board and the regular R4 in other and they do not match well, even divided by the spacebar they will not look even, I suggest you to use other set with 1.5 and 1.25 modifiers in the same R4 profile. I will try to make a picture to compare them when I have good lighting.

Another thing:
It would be great if the "`~" and "\|" keys were offered in both colors combinations, so people can decide whether they want the symmetrical or the classic look.
Also, why is the 4th ISO key blank? Looks really odd in my opinion, when every other key has a legend. This will stick out! I'd prefer ANY legend on it instead of none :thumb:
While it is not a deal breaker for me, I agree. For the 4th ISO key any leeds would probably look better than none.

I use ANSI mostly, because the US International layout allows me to write in Spanish and English with no issues; however, I really love the ISO enter key, which, from my humble perspective, has a shape that makes total sense with the nature of the key, to be the ENTER key; while, ANSI enter may be even easier to reach when you have your fingers on the home row, seems to me a bit understated size-wise, (...) too modest, when it should be as bolder as possible. Well, it may be only a simple aesthetic thing though. :p

I saw this with the Monkey set too, maybe it's part of the new formulation that GMK did after Karura's efforts.
With no intention of taking any credit out of Karura for the feedback he provided to GMK; but, the material formula does do almost nothing to the thickness or overall molded parts volume, which is mainly related with the molds cavities; it seems that GMK has overhauled the molds with new cavities or even build new ones. For example, there is some feedback of upcoming GB at DT, where GMK was willing to build new mold designs at their own expenses, something unheard previously, it may be related with expanded capabilities of molds design and making at their own tool shop, who knows, maybe they have in-house mold making capabilities now.

While I never got any of the older GMK sets, the recent GMK caps I got (GMK Monkey, RGB mod kit, ESC packs, Cherry packs) all were in perfect shape. On the other hand, I never had much to complain about SP sets so far and got quite alot of them. Never had an issue an eraser couldn't clean/fix.
Their reduced 150MOQ is also helping alot making GBs happen. I might get the chance to talk to them when I pick up my GB order and can address my last big dream for future GMK sets: super low MOQ for small international kits like a NORDE kit. Only as an add on to a large order of course, but they would need an MOQ of ~25 maybe. Really curious what their calculated price for that would be.

Got my tracking number via Paypal. Paypal lists the status as "delivered" but the tracking number given to me does not give any results on USPS.
The international order could not be tracked by USPS ;D
Cause it is the cheapest one.

You can't really tell, but if you zoom way in you can see a faint grey line going through the bottom curve.
I thought it was a scratch at first but there's no indents on it at all, and none of the surrounding area has a scratch either. The only way to describe it is its the same shade of white as when you bend plastic
edit: at some point I realized that this is a dumb thing to be upset about lmao

Agreed 2x. Removing information is the stuff of nightmares. I catalog every item I purchase/want to purchase, and like to reference older threads for accuracy. Removing all that information just...drives me to ruin.
