Post by: Binge on Fri, 04 November 2016, 15:54:50
Well guys what do you think?  If you've received jerky from us please post your favorite mystery meat jerky recipe.

For reference,

1) Mild and Sweet - Midas Touch Jerky
2) Bold and Savory - Mr. Rooks IPA OBJ Jerky
3) Robust - Otesanek's Imperial Stout and Toasted, Salted, Coacoa Jerky
4) Tangy - Cinnamon Peach Lambic Jerky

I might be biased but I like the Bold and Savory of the two I tried, the other was the Mild and Sweet if I recall.

Maybe a little biased, but I like all of them. :kappa:

Personally speaking I've only had the mild and sweet jerky, and thought it was fantastic. But I'm super interested in trying out more of them ;) GB???

Only had one and two. Both great but mild and sweet was my preference.

Only had the pleasure of having the mild and sweet, which was very good. Usually the problem with store bought jerky is that it's tough and chewy. Exact opposite with Bingehaus jerky and flavors weren't overpowering either.  Would love to try some of the other flavors and maybe even a peppery variety as well.

The mild and sweet above all else. It was very tasty. I got to try 3 of the different flavors and the Tangy was easily my least favorite.

I don't recall exactly which flavor names matched with which, but I'm going to guess just by the names that mild and sweet was my favorite! (Although I ate all of them very happily)

I don't know which flavor I ate... but I did enjoy it. I think it was the Sweet and Mild :thumb:

Just tried the peach lambic version.... stupidly good.  I'm quite curious about the imperial stout/cocoa version as the method and meat you're using would really play to that.

I'm surprised you didn't get any with your order.  The Lambic and stout jerky should be mixed together.

I got my meat today and just tried it 30 seconds ago.

I got stout and lambic varieties. Of the two, stout is my favorite.

BUT, eaten together as suggested here https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=83773.msg2294337#msg2294337 was by far the best. Really, really good.

Definitely in for more of both if you make it available.

It's the oddest thing.  Mixing the marinades together would have made it taste like a mess, but packaging them together and being able to eat them one after the other made all the difference in the world.

Ya, I can totally see that. And honestly eating them back to back was good, but eating a small piece of each at the same time was even better. It was really trippy.

Good ****.

Midas Touch was ****ing delicious. Old Bay was ehhh... I love old bay seasoning but I don't think it worked well with the jerky.

I would love to try a sweet fruity but super spicy version just to see what the result could be.

I have now tried one, the Midas Touch today at the DC /r/MK meetup, and it was amazing.

I really hope to have the privilege in the future to try more flavors.  What I experienced today was crazy mystery meat heaven.
