It is light blue.
But it is just anodizing test.
Tx1800v2 blue is same like txcp and tx75.

I will show some anodizing samples soon.

Has he said a price yet?

Negative Ghost Rider... Shouldn't be long to offer them up though since proto is looking good.  :thumb:  Wonder if he's doing a mfg run and then will sell or he'll do it as a standard-operation GB??

Should just be a normal sale. In speaking with him awhile ago, PCB's and plates are just about wrapped up and boards will probably be available some time around end of April - mid May. Specific time varying due to me not remember exactly what he said.

Next week..at first Plate s will arrive..
I will take preorders of assembling service.

Tx1800v2 with brass is $420.
Color : black, silver, grey, red, blue.

Assembling service (included all parts) is $130.
(Parts are vintage switches, films, springs, leds, stabilizers, lub and soldering)

Shipping day is 15 May.
Does the PCB come with the 1800v2 kit is pre-soldered with SMDs? only switches and leds to be soldered by self, right?

Loving the new chamfered top edge. Can't wait to order one.
This is proto..
Chamfer will be changed to rounding.

Will you have photos of the new prototype before you start your sale?

Sorry if this has been asked before: is the acrylic insert necessary or can the board be assembled without it? Also, where will the board be posted for sale, and how can we preorder assembly services if we intend on doing so? Thanks!

V2 bottom height become 2mm shorter than V1.
V2 acrylic diffuser is necessary.
If you don't like acrylic diffuser.. You can change them to brass gasket(option).

You can use both all.
 I split into  8 pieces.
4 pieces of acrylic diffusers and 4 pieces of brass gasket.
For using conner diffuser, I moved rgbled location.

Really unfortunate that light blue is not available. I would actually consider buying a second TX-75 if it becomes an option.

Looking at your form:

1. For address, there is a spot for city but not state. Should we put it in as: City, STATE?

2. Does the case come with a SS weight and the selection "Changing Brass Weight" just means the weight will be brass instead of SS for an additional $44?

3. Any pics of the gold plated gasket?

4. Is the ETA for the boards from the manufacturer mid-May?

5. What is this bag?

6. Does the final cost added up on this form include fees?

Thanks! Excited!

Another kinboard! :)
A few questions:
- Which are the possible layout options for the bottom left corner? 1.25 1.25 1.25 or 1.5 1.5? It also seems that the PCB has split spacebar support.
- How smooth can we expect the anodization of the case to be? As smooth as TX-84/87?
- Will the brass plates/weight be coated so that they do not oxidize?
- Which kind of stabilizers will be used if ordering an assembled board? Genuine clipped Cherry/GMK?
- Will you do the assembling/soldering yourself?
- Can we order the switches/springs/stickers-film/stabilizers/switch LEDs without the assembling service?
- May we get a picture of the bag?
- How many boards will be available?

Edit: may we also get a full-length picture of the backside of the V2? There aren't any in the TX-1800 tistory website or in the pictures posted a few posts earlier. I am interested in the big slanted shape in the middle, around the USB connector.

The design of the case requires the acrylic insert seen in other pictures. Since some people don't care for backlighting and subsequently the acrylic insert, he is offering a gasket that will take the place of the acrylic insert. Just look at the pictures and imagine a strip of metal there instead. I'll be going gold plated  :thumb:

I'm sure kin can verify but he is know to use a gold plating on all his brass to prevent oxidation.  When people talk about brass plates kin is always mentioned.

like 4 conner diffusers and 4 sides metal gaskets

This is way cooler than I was imagining. Interchangeable metal gaskets and diffusers. I love it.

Might be nice to be able to opt in for a full set of eight metal gaskets too to completely replace diffusers? If I'm reading correctly, you get the eight piece acrylic included with the kit, then can add four of the metal corner pieces for $20. Could see some perhaps wanting an all-metal spacer layer...?

Whatever, we'll sort it out. Kin is the man... I'm in.

About Gasket
V2 bottom is 2mm thinner than V1 for diffuser.
but some people don't like diffuser.
so I split diffuser and gasket 8 piece.

you can use diffuser and gasket together.
like 4 conner diffusers and 4 sides metal gaskets

(Attachment Link)

thickness is 3mm.

they are being made... after finishing making.. I will show some pics.

I'm in.

you can use only arcylic diffuser or only metal gasket.
some will use them together.

It is user's choice.

My bad- sorry. Clearly says 8 piece metal gasket. This is awesome.

No...
don't say sorry.

for conner diffuser... I move rgbled location.

some people wanted black case and gold gasket.
It looks awesome.

thanks kin, i submitted a pre-order. i guess as you update is there a chance for me to make changes (gasket, bag or color of case)? wasn't sure about the color of the grey and the black you were to use for the final product and chose black on the pre-order...

Thanks for these pictures.
If I wanted an extra brass weight (and the SS weight included in the base kit), how much more would that cost?

So, it comes as an extra for $44 and does not replace the SS weight included in the base kit?
I am confused by the form which says "Changing brass weight". I am interested in two weights, SS and brass.
