Hey everyone!
I'm happy to present you GMK Hanami Dango. Hanami Dango is a japanese sweet very popular in spring during the cherry blossom viewing (Hanami 花見, "flower viewing"). It's also known as Sanshoku Dango (three coloured Dango) because of the iconic pink white and green! It's made out of sweet mochi rice dumplings on a skewer. Pink is often flavored with sakura, green with matcha and white is just sweet rice. The set is based on the flower viewing tradition of eating hanami dango and dreaking matcha tea.

Awesome theme & design OP, I really dig this! The one issue I see is like HoodrowThrillson said GMK doesn't do novelty spacebars. I believe they have the capability to pad print spacebars, but have never heard of them doing it. Although TBH, I think the set would be just fine without the novelty bars anyways.
I wonder if JTK could do novelty spacebars? They did those Geekhack double shot spacebars in the past....

Very nice set, just 2 small gripes i have, the accents in the base kit have white font ? Don't know if that's intentional and for the spacebars can we have pink ones instead of mod colored green ones, it hurts my brain,but its kinda a trend lately don't know if its only me who dislikes it.
It's not supposed to be white, but cream maybe it's my fault xD
And I'll try for the spacebars!

I agree! I would love to see a set that supports JIS that doesn't have kana sublegends, as the very few sets that do come with JIS support (SimpleJA, /dev/tty's Nihon kit) usually include sublegends.
...A man can dream! For now, I'm just grateful to have the keys included in the hiragana kit that makes it possible to use the set at all.

I see a few potential improvements for the base kit:
- Add R3 Pg Up, R4 Pg Dn keys for 65%/75% layouts.
- Remove numpad sublegends for a cleaner look.
- Change Win legends to Super or System (Sys for 1u); most people don't like Win keys.
- Change Prt Sc to Print for consistency with other legends.
- All of the \¦ legends should be \| (| instead of ¦).
- Currently the ISO support is inconsistent. Fix it by either:
- adding the three keys that are missing for full ISO-UK support: R1 `¬, 2", 3£ (example (https://i.imgur.com/plq30ZF.jpg)); or
- removing R3 '@ and changing R3 #~ → \| and R4 \| → <> for more neutral ISO support that uses less keys (example (https://i.imgur.com/QX11UTO.jpg)).
- If you want, change /, * legends on the numpad to ÷, ×.
Spacebars kit:
- In general, I would suggest using the alpha white instead of the accent red as the main spacebar color. Only have 6.25u, 7u and one of each 2.25u and 2.75u in the accent red color (example (https://i.imgur.com/kEQPpmI.jpg)).
- 2.5u spacebar size doesn't exist. The two 2.5u spacebars should be 2.75u. In which case the existing red 2.75u should either be changed to 3u (if you want to include that) or removed from the kit.

A Hiragana base kit unfortunately won't happen :( but maybe a mod kit? It makes sense with katakana because it's used for english words but it's harder with hiragana

I agree; if you were going to do a "Japanese" mod kit for hiragana I would just do "normal" Japanese -- i.e. kanji for words that use kanji, katakana for words that use katakana, etc. -- rather than trying to stick to one character set or the other.

I love the patterns on the deskmats, but the character in them sticks out since the art style is different. Any possible way to offer two deskmats, one with the girl on it and one with just the pattern?
That's what I was thinking at first and maybe that's actually a good idea!

Typically a lot of sets run two deskmat designs, I'd love to see it with this one. I'll keep my eye on this one :)

They look great but could you post a high res images , it's hard to choose when they are so small in the google form and why only 1 ? you could run multiple

The numpad 0 and . keys still have sublegends on them in the kit image; might wanna fix that. Also, you may or may not want to use Print instead of Prt Sc.This.

Any specific reason why you didn't do alternate F-row colors? If so, why wasn't it rendered on a TKL or 75?

There won't be any mod colored f keys. And for the b, it's dumb but there are some chances that I can't remove it but I'll look more into it

I guess, but not everybody has another board available. Personally I also wouldn't run 2 similar sets.
I just feel it's a missed opportunity, since I would assume a good amount of people would prefer the Hiraganas due to the nature of the Japanese inspiration; so having the option of a base Hiragana or a Base Alpha would have been really nice.
But oh well, too late :(

Home key is R1, my mistake, but still you only see home key as R1 on other layouts, so that's why there is only 1 R1 home keys. The R1 PgDn is used for 96 layout, like Melody96 or gk96
