Title: Drive Vibration, it's real
Post by: tp4tissue on Wed, 26 January 2022, 11:03:59
So after LLann linked that video with the server guy yelling at harddrives tanking their performance.

Tp4 tested just writing to an external, w/ regular music going on the Subwoofer

The write speed went down to 150-160MB/s from 165-170MB/s

Vibrations bad for drives, this is why alot of cases and laptops have rubber isolator pads to reduce this when mounted.
