Don't know if this is generally known, but I've found the 3M precision surface to be the best for mousing around. You can get it in a sticky pad that goes right on your surface (no raised lip) or what I prefer (with my sit stand desk tray) the following as the attached wrist rest prevents the mouse from falling off the desk when I tilt the padhttp://www.amazon.com/3M-Leatherette-Antimicrobial-Protection-MW309LE/dp/B001A1UX0UIt really is more precise and accurate, a perfect size and comfortable. Best I've found.
I used to love the precision mousing surface years ago when I was using old school "ball" mice, but with modern laser mice it doesn't seem to matter much what surface I use.
Does it work well with trackballs?
