I'm super tempted to join this round. Love this design, GLWB!
-
Amazing keyboard for $80. I have the r1 and would definitely recommend it if you're on a budget or just love the vintage look. It also sounds exactly how you'd expect it to; like a G80. :thumb:
-
very tempted, the price is nice and CF plate is a cool bonus
-
would it be an option not to use fedex? i do like the case but i never received anything from fedex that was not damaged or lost, with a 50 euro handling fee added for customs even on packages i never received... kind of a deal killer on a 80 dollars board
-
I'm going with Option3, beige of course :)
-
Is the cool grey option really just for the top? The pictures show a cool grey top and a beige bottom, would like to know if that's actually how it would ship.
-
For anyone in Oceania, we've teamed up with zF to bring these in-stock in Q1 of 2022.

More collaborators can bring more output and update space to the keyboard. This is good news.

Hi, is there any Alps support on this one? :D

Awesome! I almost ordered hotswap because I thought solder would not support ISO. Thanks for the clarification!
-
thank you for the pcb photos,
-
I was so excited to order, but then I saw the shipping price is HALF the cost of the board itself :-[
-
Based on the look of it, doesn't seem to support Alps switch..... :-[

Hi,
The NCR-80 is great. I already have R1.
I was wondering, can you tell me when the full-size will become available? Will that be R3?
-
Will you ever consider making a version that allows for 3 keys instead of the LED window? It's the only reason I haven't already bought it!
-
Looks spectacular and great price for what's offered. Decided to go all in, will see if it matches beige with my actual NCR 386 system, haha.

Please clarify ISO support (solder or hotswap).
Kindly consider adding a weight on the back of the keyboard. Each g80 that I've owned was too light and constantly moving around.
-
My NCR-80 is actually pretty steady, and the adjustable feet keep it in place.
But yeah, I can see why people would want to weigh down this design. A simple aluminum or steel weight at the bottom would pin it down. Like the brass weight on the polycarb KBD8X MKII. Not sure if the case has room for it.
But that would be a good deal of design and production effort, and many people are instead buying it for its classic, retro design.
-
There might be enough room in the shell for me to glue in some simple brass or steel plates into it at the back or underneath if it's a problem, and I wanted to add an extra pound to it

Solder PCB support ISO layout, but hotswap pcb don't support now.

Ehh,that is a great idea, but we will consider that will change the specail style of keyboard..
