Highly textured Mark II, black stripes protrudes out from a 'furry' orange backgroud, sealed, finished and baked with a gloss top coat.

We've made a couple of these, and in other animal prints as well. Might sell some off if anyones interested PM me.
What did you use for the gloss top coat? :O

The first red one is backwards, reaper. You should rotate it 180.

Other than that: Looks great!

Also: You lucky people and your KMAC's. Looks amazing with everything, pink superhero included.

My relatively small (but growing) keycap collection:

2528-0

2530-1

2532-2

2534-3

2536-4

They aren't anything too special, but I already have more on the way. I am awaiting the arrival of my three 4:20 keycaps from DanGWanG.  ^-^

Imsto grey thick caps on my doxish thanks 4en for the deal on these caps :)

I had to use the center caps key for the short shift, it looks almost like it belongs... slightly flatter than the rest of the keys on that row.

Stepped keycap was a success without a jig on the first try! :P the secret is in how you sand ur donor stem, make sure the glueing surface is going to be sitting right, and use markers to mark up where the center is.

1 more shot with just the WASD and ESC keys lit:

That spacebar (and esc) is (are) HAWT! Why do you call it a "doxish"?

Anyway, excellent keycaps, and great center stem mod. That's a keyboard to be proud of.

a little off topic here but, its called Doxish because it was based off of DOX's DIY design/firmware and modified to fit my needs. I also changed up the PCB a bit so it can be a "drop-in" for any poker cases. a small project that kinda died because school got busy and i was not able to make more than a few of these. They feature NKRO in both mac and pc and also full customizable layout with multiple programable function layers if you dont mind learning a little bit of the programing of teensies. So the whole keyboard is DIY... though i have imsto to thank for the case.

I always wondered if the Click Clack Tri-Color Salute has been painted white and red, especially the red of eyes. The white I can image it still being a different material, but then again could also be painted ^^
Anyone got a clue?

I believe that's the actual colour of plastic. If I recall correctly, he uses multiple moulds to tripleshoot the 3-colour ones.

Ofcourse, I don't have on to check.

Im not sure. From the information obtained from my sister nail polish cracks and comes off after a while. Is that why they put the keys in the oven? If so what temp and how much time?

It could be an oven, but I think that paint is being cured by UV or something.

looks to me exactrly like how they make fake gel nails. So it could be a kind of gel which is then put in the little oven to harden. No clue if that works with heat or UV (or both). Could just be a little fancy light in the oven as well :)

It's just a UV light, not hot enough to be considered an "oven" because women put their hands in there after a manicure

well my missus came along and goes straight away " thats a nail oven, they use it to bake your nails when you go to the saloon to get your nails done" so yeah i guess its nail polish, put in the oven then layered with lacquer.

There is something about plain keyboards.  Even a CCnG looks really sexy - maybe it is just that they are something different.  Not your average rubber dome mass-produced flexible throw-away consumer items.

And yes, I just tried flexing a Dell membrane board on the opposite desk and it does flex.  Quite easily.

Add a few carefully chosen custom key caps to a mech board and you have a masterpiece.

Nice :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yeah, I've pretty much lost interest in novelty keys as well, though they look great on qtan's MX keyrings.  Unique or classy full sets is where it's at.

My first keyboard, WASD V1, was with a blue wasd cluster and orange esc. I thought it was the bomb at the time, but the whole gamer look just makes a keyboard look like a toy. I like the look of a full custom set/solid color set with a CC or novelty for the esc key more now.
