If it's laser, not interested.
It's a new generation laser doppler sensor from Philips. They seem to have fixed the Twin Eye issues. So the reasons for avoiding it "because it's laser" may be moot.
From what I can garner from the reviews I can find, it's very accurate and tracks well, even at full 8200 CPI. No mentions of acceleration issues, lift-off movement, tracking errors, etc..
The best feature: You can set the lift-off distance from 0.2 to 1.0mm depending on the surface you're using and what you prefer
According to the reviews I have read so far it works well.
Another advantage over the RAT3 is that the palm rest is adjustable without having to take a screwdriver to it.
