Submitted but now I think I want to switch to detached F-row... :-X
Submitted an order ;D
Are there color options or...?
Do I see an aluminium one in those pictures on kbdlab?
Ah, was this only ever in a private group buy?Do I see an aluminium one in those pictures on kbdlab?
Correct. that is the other 75 board. (LZ-SK)

I'm very interested in this.
Is there any extra cost involved if I would like a "custom" layout? Let's say ISO with Detached F-row?

Looks to me as Bezel has, well, a bezel around the keys, while the other have the "plate" as the topmost layer ("floating keys").
And you do realize that changing the led orientation means redesigning the PCB?
Really liking how fast the schedule for this is.

Looks nice!
May we please get a picture of the underside of the keyboard showing the whole thing?
If I wanted a 1.25 1.25 1.25 6.25 1 1 1 1 1 1 bottom row layout, I assume I would have to go with the "D. Custom" option on the form?
Thanks, I was looking for a picture showing the entire keyboard foot. How is it attached to the bottom of the case? Can it be swapped for a pair of screw-in feet?
The custom option is located in section "2. Acrylic plates". Despite the PCB supporting many layouts, the plate could render some unusable.
Will these Duck feet from the CPSQ GB be compatible with the 75SQ bottom?
Not sure if I'm being dumb or if i cant see it, but the difference of the two top plates is whether the screws are visible right?

Most likely not, woiuld need to request the bottom to be drilled/cut as so, Sorry bout that, was doing a reference for where the holes for the feet are
Are the diodes and LED at the bottom part already included and soldered on the PCB?
Is it too late to order an assembled one ?

:) Duck feet are supported if you have any. But I don't have any Duck feet left. that's why I didn't mention about the the Duck feet.
And if you really want the other layout you will have with +$10. describe it on D. custom in the form.

Also, possible to offer Cherry MX Blues instead of Gateron Browns?
Great! Glad I got in. Also, PM you re: MX Blues. Also, possible to offer Cherry MX Blues instead of Gateron Browns?
Still have a slot. just fill the form. I will send you proper invoice.
Would be interested in the al version :D.
Hey leeku, is it possible to do split backspace that is also compatible with normal one?

Ah, I'm still torn between the Function row or the detached F-row. The non-detached made it look like Noppo Choc Mini... hmmm. Can we have more pictures please?
Yeah, I don't quite like Noppo Choc Mini and the only reason I chose non-detached was because in one photo, I saw the Page Up and Page Down button on the top row. And I need Page Up/Down. But I suppose your PCB is highly configurable, so I could have them even in detached.Ah, I'm still torn between the Function row or the detached F-row. Yes original is just look like NoppoChoc mini. I strongly suggest detached.!!
Leeku for assembling options,
I am aware that the only options are Browns and Linears. But is there anyway you could include Blues?
The form has a field named "How much do you need to pay? (Include shipping 30$)". Is that for customs?

Is this PCB using a USB mini or micro connector?
Is it possible to have a bottom row as 1.5 1 1.5 6 instead of 1.25 1.25 1.25 6.25?

I will put in another order tonight. My paypal email is: calvinhvo@yahoo.com

JigOn and FS has been upgaraded recently but if you say the invdivisual control for each LED, it not possible in this PCBs.

not individual key lighting, i meant the ability to change the in switch led brightness of ALL the keys. Right now they are either on or off but you cant dim them, so its either bright or nothing at all.
could you link the newest version of jigon here too please?

I really can't decide between bezel and VIKI for a ANSI Detached F row + Split spacebar ... do you have a suggestion? Both look nice. :) split spacebar is worthy to try :) It's comfortable.
I'm also looking for MX Clears and assembly if possible.
Order submitted! There are lots of group buys running now, especially those made by GMK. Look under Group Buy and you probably can still sign up for one. Otherwise, you can buy it from Classifieds ..
I'm still rather new to this. If anyone could help me understand how to search for the proper keycaps, I would greatly appreciate it.
Hi Leeku. Is it possible to have 1.5/1/1.5 bottom row with split spacebar?
Edit; I've estimated what I could with pictures of the PCB and it looks like key spacing would be off with 1.5/1/1.5 alternate layout and split space; 2.5/1.5/2.25 spacebar seems possible, but 2.5 is too uncommon and creates other issues with spacing. If you'd like to confirm anything, it would be appreciated.
Hey leeku I'm going to update my shipping address because I'll be moving in early June. Expect a pm!
This doesn't support alps, correct? No ALPs is not suppoted. sorry.
Hey leeku, if you have any more duck feet can you add it to my order?
So uhh just turned in my form in, hope that I made it even though it's been three weeks since the closing date. :-[
In for a Bezel ANSI D with split backspace and 1.25u-1.25u-1.25u-6.25u-1u-1u-1u-1u-1u-1u bottom row.
Hey guys!
I am also wondering wheather I'm still able to join this GB (since the form is still open).
75% seems to be such a nice layout (this one especially), I'm really digging it. But they also seem to be quite hard to finde :/

Ok, around 2 weeks left before the scheduled shipping ... hope there are some updates here.. or, are you guys not worried... sorry to be paranoid but these days, over communication is a good thing. Silence is what worries people.
Any updates on the GB? Really looking forward to this! :)
Hows the progress of this? Really excited for my first 75% keyboard.
Hey guys, this is going to be my 1st build. Just a few questions I have that could maybe be answered. Pretty much just not sure how the case LED's work. Are they coming already assembled or do I have to buy some and solder then in? If thats the case, I'm not too sure where to solder them. :confused:The RGB underlighting should come presoldered. If you want per-switch LEDs you will have to solder those by yourself. I don't remember for stabs.
The only other question is if the kit comes with stabs or not? Thanks!~ ;D

Wait, are you certain about this? I specifically asked Lee this question and was ensured each switch had it's own LED. This was one of my reasons for purchasing this keyboard...Perhaps he meant each switch can have an LED soldered. I own a different keyboard that uses this pcb and there aren't any special presoldered per switch LEDs. The Zeal60 is pretty unique in having that. On other keyboards you have to thread the led through the switch so there isn't a way to solder the LED on before you have the switch in.

Wow. I don't know how to feel about that now. That was a lot of money to spend for something I thought was the perfect match. I haven't soldered anything in 20 years and wouldn't even know where to begin to do this procedure. Truly disappointed now.

Yes
If you ordered it fully assembled then you'll have your LEDs soldered. When I was talking about RGB coming presoldered and LEDS not coming soldered I was talking about for people who didn't order assembly.
Gah.. I'm too late for this. Oddly the form is still open so I filled it out. If anyone wants to sell in the future, I'm interested.

I am worried mainly because I actually paid for the assembly services as well. While I understand that assembly takes time, I'd like some assurance, I guess. I don't know, more communication maybe. There's too many news of GB gone bad in GH and that made me nervous. Hope this is not the case. By August, we would have passed the 90 days window that Paypal gives.
We’re increasing the time for buyers to file a merchandise dispute (Item Not Received and Significantly Not as Described) from 45 days to 180 days. All references in the User Agreement to “Opening a Dispute within 45 days” have been updated to reflect “Opening a Dispute within 180 days.” The Sections these changes appear include the Introduction, 3.15, 13.2 and 13.5.
You also have 180 days with Paypal, not 90.Oh is that it? Thanks a lot!

Sincere sorry for all.
I've been though another tough month.
I'm sorry to beg your understanding for another month delay.
I canceled personal trip to Europe on September as well because of killing workload.
So this GB is my 1'st priority now following my living job.
I'm ordering the PCB now and I'll update the progress every week or 10 days from now.
It seems bad luck to run this GB.
I really appreciate your patience.
Thanks.

I'm kinda treating Serendipity as the proxy communicator in this project. Just wanted to bump it up again and get some reassurance.

Are we still confident of this seeing the light?Nicely said!
I’m probably alone in this, as it seems other people are not voicing out. But I’d like to remind that by Nov, we would have reached the 180 day window given by PayPal. I think I’ll email Leeku today and give him till Oct 31, by then I will request for a refund coz I think 6 months is more than enough time to see result in a GB. I really like to have a 75SQ, but I don’t think I can wait any longer. Besides, it’s a great excuse to save money, lolI am worried mainly because I actually paid for the assembly services as well. There's always a risk. You can go ahead and avail yourself of paypal to get communication and assurances, and pull out if you don't trust that, but beyond that, you pay your money, you take your chances.
You also have 180 days with Paypal, not 90.

So you have a little time before you have to make a decision.
So, I emailed Leeku and he told me he will aim for 2nd week of Nov to ship out the parts and for assembled keyboards, it will be maybe end of Nov. He’s currently on work assignment in the US, so it is kinda difficult decisions to make honestly. Do you wait longer or do you ask for refund. And I also think it is better for him to drop a line or two here in GH, so there’s this.
Sure, timing is bad. But bad timing can be explained through communication in this thread. Spending a minute a week to update us should be something a GB leader should do, that's my opinion. Surely one can do that even through a mobile phone while in line for lunch? So, I emailed Leeku and he told me he will aim for 2nd week of Nov to ship out the parts and for assembled keyboards, it will be maybe end of Nov. Yeah, it's a bit concerning how long this has taken. I feel like Leeku's got a pretty good reputation within the community so it's unfortunate that this GB has been botched so much from a timing perspective, especially now that there is so much competition with things like KBD75 etc- but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with Leeku boards.
I'll probably stay in because I believe in the process but I can't help but feel a bit disappointed overall.

My suspicion is people usually don't like communicating in geekhack group buys because the reality is they dragged their feet or forgot to do something etc and communicating is "admitting" that, so they figure the better gamble is to try and fix it and brush it under the rug. Not saying that's the case here- just speaking in general.Do you still want to give good money then? :P

You could also ask to be reinvoiced which extends the period if you really are worried about your money but don’t care about time as much.Hmm, that’s a good point. How does that work from seller’s end. He just issue a new date?

Apologize for huge delay for this GB.
It was definately not a good time to start GB.
First, I will receive produced SMTed PCB in mid next week. I asked my friend to receive. I will post the pictures.
Second, I would been US for business trim until 29 Oct.
Third, I will have time enough to handle this GB since I get back to Korea after this business trip.
I am not the heavy maker nor a scammer and this GB was mostly want you to try my layout of this PCB.
I can not say nothing about your nervous waiting but beg a month patience.
I promise all keyboards shpped in November.
I’m not sure what to think about that.
Oink oink! Hi fellow Ohioan.
I think all we could do is to hope for the best. We are way past our 180 days and we should hold our peace now.
What's that?? Free Duck feet for the wait and concerns??!?
Nice! I assume it'll be shipping soon then as the cases were done beforehand right? Can we expect tracking numbers or will it just arrive?
Here's an update for you guys. Sorry about the delays.

Not too specific, but since he took the time to response, I‘m guessing that it‘s moving somewhat at least.

lol nice. This is my 1st group buy, and can't help but say this isn't the smoothest experience. Although I can't really complain because I've heard stories about a lot worse things happening to people.
Sorry not ready yet.

I'm interested in an ISO version.

Hey guys, sorry for rehyping this with a new post, but can someone tell me, whether this board uses pcb or plate mounted stabs? tried to find an answer in the thread, but wasn‘t able to find it.
Here's to hoping we get our boards this year!Yep, definitely! Imagine, it wouldn’t arrive this year.. Or better don’t!
Anyone hear anything new?It sounded like the cases were almost done the last time someone posted an update. Hoping they are done soon. I'm having the "I need a new keyboard" feeling again.
Leekus last email to me was along the lines of he's trying his hardest to have them all done and out before end of January, hopefully this ends up happening.
I don’t think Koreans or Japanese celebrates Chinese New Year...

Leeku said he will post an update early next week. Sorry about the delays.
It will be completed in Feb.
It's frustrating cause he's still working on other projects as well, the SaiB is supposed to use his PCB's, and it's been delayed by a month and a half. Kin's tx boards are supposed to use his PCB's iirc, so he's alive and still around the community

Pretty sure we've been all been Ivan'ed. This thread is now a support group.
Thanks, once again Geekhack shows how a reputation is actually a negative.

although i think kin has the PCB files so that's why he seems to always have them
The reason I haven't posted any further update is he is on a business trip for a while, I'm assuming the only update that would suffice after this time is tracking numbers.Any solid or even hopeful dates for shipping coming?

So, are you guys more on the „this will arrive eventually“ or on the „not really expecting this to arrive anymore“ side? I‘m definitely torn..
Seems to be a really long business trip, hopefully Leeku is alright!

To be clear: I didn‘t want to say in anyway that Leeku might have run with the money! I also couldn‘t imagine that he would update the op and so on, if this was his intend (tbh, you could easily scam people without that extra effort). I meant more that maybe something happened to the boards or whatever and thus he would not be able to deliver them. Also, I take it somewhat with humor, to be honest, since I find it a funny and slightly weird situation.. :)So, are you guys more on the „this will arrive eventually“ or on the „not really expecting this to arrive anymore“ side? knowing leeku, it'll show up eventually, but admittedly this is much longer than normal
but he wouldn't be posting pics if he didn't plan on sending stuff out
I am retuning back to Korea from business trip.
I will update meaningful update next week.
I am running for time to finish it even for my personal situation.
Sincere sorry for huge delay.
Appreciate your patience and sorry again.
Thanks
Hi
I am sincerely sorry for this delay.
I will be back in Korea 28th April. and suppose to be a big move.
Here is the last my word.
11. May is this dead line to ship.
This is really my bad and no excuse.
Even though I was being a liar and a liar I will never been a scammer.
Sorry again.
Please count just a one month.
Thanks and sorry again.
I mean even having photos would be nice of some sort to know that they are physically real.

There are photos earlier in the thread (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=89127.msg2520068#msg2520068) of the parts, so I don't think it's vapor.

5 months since that pic, the PCBs could have been used in other projects

True... just saying that they aren't vapor. :)
My previous post was deleted. I will rephrase.
A person who doesn't fulfill their part of a deal and continuously makes excuses about what's happening is a liar.
A person that takes money without providing the service they offered is a thief.
if action isn't taken against people like this, you are enabling and exploiting the people who trust you.
I would like a refund.
maybe try emailing him or pm'ing him/meiosis. Since he hasn't updated the thread for a long time now there might be a better line of communication :)

Yeah I think the thing I just can't understand is, if he has the time to reply to emails, why can't he update his thread? It'd take what, like 3 minutes at most just to type an update. It would put more people at ease if he addressed this stuff to everyone.
GB for yas62 which leeku made pcb and plate is done in 1 yr and 2 months if i’m correct, there’s also pcb for tx keyboard that he also design idk if he made it or only design, that’s already shipping. too bad that his own GB is neglected.

It'd be nice to know what the holdup is exactly. Is it a defect in the parts? Is it just that he hasn't had time and there is no issue with the parts themselves? What's happening?Yeah, that‘s what I also find curious. Just a little transparency would increase acceptance of the delay so much more! :) But that‘s weird to me in other GB as well.

But I still believe! GO LEEKU, you can ship them! :)
It's the 11 and no news yet. Apparently he's moving to the US act the end of May, maybe he's waiting to ship them from the state's now for cheaper shipping to those in the US
Ugh, why am I not even surprised that there are more delays again... Guess it would have been better to just write this one off after missing the October deadline and assume it's never coming, and just act surprised if it ever does arrive assuming one doesn't move away from the address they submitted when this buy started by that time
I personally think refunding assembly fee and just shipping out the parts should be the way. I know he is moving to USA or something according to the grapevine but just package and ship if there really are no problems otherwise. Refund the assembly fee and call it a day.Moving to US or just a business trip? If moving to US, it will be not be a good news to this GB because I don't see him moving the cases and the PCB.

I quickly attached the keyboard part. It just came yesterday.
I asked my brother to ship as soon as possible.
You will receive in one or two weeks.
For assembly option and individual layout will take little longger because it is mooving by ship to US.
I will update on the thread as soon as I arrived in US.
I will pack this weekend.
I don’t have time but weekend.
Let me do the best effort.
Thanks :)
Sure.I will.
Before I ship I will send every participant an email to confirm the address because it’s been tooooo way long from start
Thank you.
I am just sending this mail to notice that I will send all the address confirm mail in 24 hours.
I can't sleep by pressure of this.
And I will add individual refund options on that mail.
I thought I should 100% refund for the person who wants refund.
I will loose some money but it is not as much as your long waiting.
I still have 8-90 sets of produced though, I hope I can sell rest of them later eventually.
anyone get this e-mail?Nope
Nope, neither did I.anyone get this e-mail?Nope
I think I tried emailing him in January and February and he didn't bother responding to my emails...
K, I sent you his email, was the same one that he used for the paypal invoices
That sucks, I was really looking forward to finally having this. I'm sure I missed out on a few other 75% GBs by this point. He doesn't want people to wait any longer. Shipping them to the USA will take a long time. When they arrive he will wait till a better time to distribute. But he feels stressed holding on to people's money any longer while being unable to finish the buy.

Meh, he had plenty of time before that to get **** situated. But that's in the past.
Anyways, I emailed him yesterday confirming we get refunds today and he said yes. So idk
I got my refund although it was not a full refund after PayPal took their percentage. So overall I lost about $10 =/. At least I got a refund I guess. Good luck with you guys. Please ask leeku to gift the refund to get the full amount.Isn't there a refund option built into paypal? Though it may have expired by now...
I have no idea as I've never had to give a refund as a seller. It is definitely too late for us to initiate the refund via paypal via the builtin refund mechanism because of the expired time limit. The email used for invoicing is what you have used to contact him?
I basically bugged him with a few emails. Be firm in asking for the full amount and give him a deadline. It seems he responds a lot better with personal emails. I definitely would have thought he could have gifted us the full refund amount as that's what I would have done.

I was told by xondat that PayPal business accounts are unable to gift, and can only send via goods and services. Maybe that's why he can't gift?
Just got mine, through paypal and no fees!Yup, me too!
What's the email to contact Leeku?check your invoice.. the email should be there.
I emailed and said I'd hold out, a maximum of 2 months apparently, yet to hear anything
Edit: emailed and got a fast response (yay), Leeku is still trying to find a way to ship all the parts to the US it seems
