Liked and shared on r/keycaps, it was the only subreddit I saw without a thread.

Edit: 100 votes woo! Halfway there!

I see the 60% has numbers row 1 but novelties as row 3 including the backspace. Will 60% top row be row 1 or 3?

Thank you so much!! You guys seriously rock, this is going way faster than I though :D

Hm, you make a very valid point. Do you know what other sets have done in the past? Open to any suggestions. I could either

A) throw a few extra keys in the base set or B) Make a 60% novelties Child deal.

I really want to keep things as cost effective as possible here, so not sure which one would be preferred. I'll start mockups of what both would be like to hopefully get some price quotes though. I definitely think the top of the 60% should still be R1. Very good observation :)

Loving the progress of this set!

I might have to do blanks with the addition of just the logo novelty keycap.

Ok, looked into this.

I added a R1 ESC and Green ~ key to the base set.

For novelties I may add a 60% child deal that will have the ones needed in R1 or simply include them in the normal novelties set (which makes a bit more sense to me). I will have this live when I get home from work late tonight. Let me know if you see anything else to change!

Also, how would you feel about making the Forums keys R3 1.25u so they could be used on the bottom row? This way they would be universal to 60% or TKL/TK and not add keys/cost to the set?

How about a TV similar to the TV in your logo for a novelty?

What size spacebars are in the adapter kit?

Looking for a set to fit my K65.. it needs a 6.5U spacebar (among other things for the bottom row)

Your core kit still shows green ~` as default, needs to be white, to match \|
Then the green ~` joins green \| at the bottom.

I'm going to push for 1-1-2-3-4-4 profile again :D  I can't see the attraction for row 3 at top and bottom. Row 4 on the bottom row is no different to OEM or Cherry profile (and basically becomes parallel to the desk if the keyboard is inclined). Row 1 on the function key row really plays on the vintage/retro vibe. I'm typing on Hack'd by Geeks right now (which is 3-1-2-3-4-3) and while I love it, damn I wish it was 1-1-2-3-4-4. SA Retro will be 1-1-2-3-4-4 (due to people wanting it, and Matt3o listening!) and people are happy.

Just check out Penumbra and look at that function row... *drool*

AFAIK there was only one round, and it was 1-2-3-3-3-4. Round 2 will be "fully sculpted" (I think 1-1-2-3-4-4 seems likely, given SA Retro is like this).

Just wanted to thank Enigcoder for helping with the novelties. I was having some trouble getting novelties that worked with SP regulations on Doubleshots and he's definitely stepped up and done some fantastic work. The new Novelty renders are definitely closer to what the final product will be, if not the final product :D

I'm really feeling this set.  I'm really not buying it because I'm really broke.  But I can't wait to see it on other people's boards, and hopefully there will be a round 2 when I've got some disposable income.  This set is going to look awesome on a white keyboard or a QFR custom-painted to match this set.

I'll probably buy a few extras to sell at cost later, I know people don't always have money for sets when they hit. That being said it will probably not be for sale for sale for another month or so at least, so you may have some time to save ;)

Will the Colemak+Dvorak alphas actually be turquoise or is this just an error? I think it'll look weird mixed with the creme alphas in the base set.

No must, just another thought:

You have a 7x creme spacebar. What about the other colors? You could do an extra spacebar pack with 7x red and turquoise spacebars, or maybe remove the spacebars from the color pack and put them into their own sets with a 7x and a 6.25x spacebar for each color? Not sure what you think about adding additional packs.

Well, if it went through Massdrop I'm sure it would be timed so it wouldnt collide with Modern Selectric. I definitely think it would be benefitial to not rush it out the door so it doesnt collide with another big SA set.

Just voted for it,  because it reminds me of the late 50's easily  :thumb: .

Massdrop will get you the numbers but it will be fielding a possibly crowded field but then again PMK isn't much better with scores of SA sets about to roll through.

Yup, if produced by Massdrop (or PMK for that matter) timing will be extremely important. That being said SP will have a say as well with what they can produce which should at least stagger them out a bit.

Not sure what's happening with PMK right now. After my set, the next set with a large number of votes was Material Metaphor which had nearly 400 votes. It was Dye-Sub PBT DSA, which should get the average reddit user at least 3/4 hard.  It didn't even get the 25 sales needed to tip. Maybe the recent Massdrop Granite buy stole all it sales, but the last 3 buys on PMK have failed to tip. I think its poor website may be taking its toll.

It didn't even get the 25 sales needed to tip. Maybe the recent Massdrop Granite buy stole all it sales, but the last 3 buys on PMK have failed to tip. I think its poor website may be taking its toll.

What it basically comes down to is the actual key-set itself, and whether it becomes extremely popular and endears lots of people to off load their wallets.   The last 3 buys at PMK didn't have that type of attraction, it's as simple as that.

A Quality Designed key-set brings in the moolah every time, no matter where it's selling from   8) .

Any chance the ISO kit could include the 4 key with the € symbol?

Thanks :)
