Very interested. Fixed cable is the only thing that could potentially hold me back but I'm into the design enough and after seeing your previous board I'm more than willing to give it a try.

I will be including the JST connector itself as well as the crimps so that you can make your own cable with it. I am also maybe thinking of including solderless USB connectors in order for you to be able to make an entire USB cable without soldering if that bothers you. You will just need to provide yourself with the cable itself and the other materials you might need. ( Zapcables is a good source for this stuff it's usually priced very well )

Sounds like a good idea, don't wanna have the cable be the point of failure and then having issues finding another pcb to replace it.

Is the layout exactly the same as DK? i.e. will the PCB be compatible? I'm looking hard for a new PCB for my DK

What is fixed cable? Does that mean there is no usb connector and ill have to solder my own cable directly to the pcb?

Fixed cable using either a JST connector that will be provided and you have to assemble that, which isnt too hard, or you can solder the cable straight to the PCB.

I'd love a fixed connector TBH but most people need to plug their boards into their airplane so that might not fly

Any idea on a GB date?

Late April at the earliest I'm thinking. Because of COVID-19 things have been pretty busy, I am still waiting for my prototype to be shipped out, once I get that that will gauge when I think I will host the GB.

This is like a modern take on a classic design; I LOVE it.

What is the bottom weight gonna look like from the underside?

it will be the option of fixed via soldering cable straight to the PCB, or with a JST connector.

Do you know when will the GB start for public? Is their any render on different colors, I recently join the Discord server but I don't know if I missed it or not.

Love the layout and the look - is there a specific reason to go fixed cable over a standard mini-usb?

Thread is outdated - I believe it's been switched to a USB-C port design rather than fixed cable. It's been a while so I'd check the discord for more.
