Hells yeah, given its NYC there is probably a sick show going on as well.

Keycon 2015 brown baggin 40ounces and illegal dice games outfront

So what you're saying is Keycon East is going to include a concert to go to? And I love dice games :D

LOL.  I know quite a few people who feel this way.  They say, "They just play the exact same thing as the CD, but it's louder and sounds worse."

To which I say, "You're going to the wrong concerts."

The first real concert I went to was Neutral Milk Hotel over the summer. Before that I wasn't all that interested in concerts, but that was one of the best nights I've ever had. There was so much energy in the crowd. Now I've got the concert fever. :p (though I wasn't able to grab tickets to the K.Flay concert I wanted to go to last sunday :'()

So I guess now would be the time to start getting an idea of what dates would work best for people. Right now, I'm planning on doing this sometime during the spring, between March and June. The end of May and beginning of June is probably off the table due to high school finals for people, colleges I guess vary? The only other thing that is for certain is it will be on a weekend. So just comment on any stretches of time that you could make it and what city (NYC, Philly, or Boston) would work best. I'll work on a comprehensive table over the coming weeks and determine the best date

NYC works for me.  May/June is mighty fine weather here in NYC too. If you come here you might meet a celebrity.  They're everywhere.  Last year I met Liv Tyler, and she gave me her mother's recipe for meatloaf for some reason.  I didn't tell her that I don't eat meatloaf.  She's totally awesome and super nice.  This really happened.

Lady GaGa's ex-boyfriend lives around the block from me, so I saw her a lot. Jay-Z and Beyonce live pretty close to me as well. I see him driving his Bentley around all the time.

forget my bragging, March/late April are best for me.

Yes I would love to Helmet Cam finally!!

And I would like this meet to be in Philly. I feel like that would be easier for people who are driving in, cheaper for a space, and not as hectic as NYC in general...not that I don't love NYC. Mainly, I'm angling for somewhere different to go :D.

And summer-ish time frame sounds good to me. May or June. I believe there was talk of Keycon Midwest being in March or April.

Edit: Changed Chicago to Midwest to appease the Hoff.

+1  Never been to NYC, but I have zero interest in trying to drive there.  I want to live.

And it's Keycon Midwest.  We had Keycon West, this is Keycon East, why does the city of Chicago get special treatment?   :'(

It's mainly Manhattan that's a ***** but even then it's not that bad. Just gotta be prepared to make really quick decisions.

Oh, that may be true (not that I would know).  And nah, if I can go my whole life without driving in Manhattan I'll be happy.  I don't need that kind of stress for no reason.   ^-^

Had to drive through there to ger to Connecticut. Was almost fine, ended up mising my exit because of the incredible number of different ones, drove over a median, pissed a guy off, was fun. Also, any ideas of spaces we go hold this?

Places to have Keycon in New York City? I'm not in any position to offer up suggestions about that to be honest.

That being said, I think when we looked into spaces to hold meetups in general renting an hourly work space, typically for meetings, might work for us. Also hotel convention rooms but they'll be expensive as all hell in Manhattan. I highly suggest that if this is going down in NYC, we do it in one of the quieter outer boroughs like Queens or the Bronx where it would be a bit easier.

But perhaps one of our NYC members has a better idea.

I highly suggest that if this is going down in NYC, we do it in one of the quieter outer boroughs like Queens or the Bronx where it would be a bit easier.

But perhaps one of our NYC members has a better idea.

I was looking into this a while back. It's not cheap and the areas that were cheap had bad access to subway and parking sucked....

it's queens?

i have an unnatural distaste towards the borough of queens because it has airports in it

i don't like airports

So if it's OK with everyone if we could just decide on Philly now that would certainly make planning easier

it was 2nd in the poll, I'm sure it's fine

unless anyone absolutely can't do it I think it's a fine choice
