where are the bumpons?Double that :)
where are the bumpons?
ne protos avail
Uhh, it depends on the weight of the board but it will defo tend to slide around without bumpons. And the weight will scratch pretty quickly if you just need to put the board aside on any hard surface (e.g. when cleaning the table).where are the bumpons?
no bumpons. This will be a deskmat exclusive board

Dedicated carrying case would be definitely appreciated.Uhh, it depends on the weight of the board but it will defo tend to slide around without bumpons. 6lbs built. It doesn't slide around very easily. I've been keeping my first prototype in a case when not in use. I'll be looking into getting a custom carry/storage case made for this board when GB comes around.
Commence prototyping soon.

so you either have a prototype and you're not showing us or you're lying about having a prototype

This was an early version that wasn't weebified yet. That's why I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to post it

not sure how I feel about this on polished ss sounds like a world of hurt especially on a keyboard that you are saying is not gonna be cheap...
"This will be a deskmat exclusive board"
Absolutely amazing. Every time I think I've "seen it all" someone comes out with some gold like this.

no bumpons is a very bad idea
Adding bumpons after the fact on a board which is probably gonna cost way over 500€ feels wrong"This will be a deskmat exclusive board"

You can add on bumpons after the fact just fine. I just chose not to put dedicated bumpon cutouts for aesthetic reasons. Plus, there are literally pictures of two different prototype units posted in this thread after months of use without being scratched up. Stainless steel is pretty hard. It doesn't scratch easily unless you do something very wrong to the board.
is this gonna be compatible with gh60 standard pcbs?
I see screw holes in the bottom. What're those for?
Will the weight be exposed internally at all? I worry about the sound
the theme just kinda seems slapped onto this board...
I would rather this board be sold as just a nice 60 honestly. The addition of an ayame theme just seems very weird to build more attention. if you friend really likes it then just run it for him maybe. otherwise this just seems like your trying to bring attention to the board via weebs rather than what the board brings to the community. idk. I just beileve that designers should design around a theme they care for. not what their friends like *shrug*
its a nice board, but I just dont like the way the theme was done. otherwise GLWIC,

Looks nice, though I don't know why you couldn't incorporate feet into the design.
FAQ
Q: Why no bumpons?
A: It was an aesthetic decision. Aside from the emblem/logo, I didn't want to interrupt the curves and smooth design of the weight with cutouts for bumpons. For those that are worried that the polished stainless steel weight will get scratched, I understand your concern. However, stainless steel is relatively hard. Unless the board is very seriously mistreated, it won't get damaged very easily. Though, I still wouldn't rough it up needlessly. As such if you're interested in this board, I recommend using a deskmat with it and storing it away properly when not in use.
Price not "CHEAP"
Not to be rude, but not cheap for a oring-mount is not working for me
