GB Name

LM60 - LM from initials letters of Liz Maria (My daughter's name. She is five years old and already help me with keycaps in buildings and like mechanical kerboards)

Inspiration

I started this hobby late, with mechanical keyboards in July/2020 and custom keyboards in May/2021. After mount my first custom keyboard, a KPrepublic PSD60, I desired to buy more two popular boards, Bakeneko60 and later Keychron Q1, but for both the final price would be double due the shipping fee and Customs fee. So I started to think on my own project. I tried to quote on the local market a glass case and after a marble powder case with Italian company that I already have business, but neither of them prospered. In Mar/2022 I designed this project of case to be made by CNC process and I contacted more than ten companies, the most of them quoted the price near to the same that I desire to sell. When I was thinking to giving up, I got excellent quotation price for the sample and for the bulk order. I have made the first sample in Apr/2022 and more a few samples, after little adjustments, in Jul/2022. Now I invite you to this group buy that have excellent cost benefit.

It's quite confusing, why paypal + ali is 125, but Paypal + dhl account has no pricing.
Also on the aliexpress store there is no option to do wkl except on grey 2.

Hi!

The options Fedex/UPS/DHL do not include shipping fee, you need to have the shipping accounts (fee paid on delivery), but If you want DHL to pay on the order we can quote it to you.

Grey WKL is the "Grey 2". This Aliexpress Store is our partner/forwarder, he made this mistake when listed the item. If you choose Fedex/UPS/DHL the case Will be sent from the factory.

I am not joining the gb (I'm more advanced in the hobby, and the keyboard lack some standard design features for me) but seeing this kind of gb, at this price range, with those updates, is awesome, even more coming from a fellow brazilian.

Yes, compatible with Tsangan.

You can see the pink in this video (my daughter that choosed this color  :D )


About shipment to Germany I don't why Aliexpress not available, but we can ship by DHL or Fedex.

The plate support tsangan. I think it Will support only these splits 2.25u-1.25u-2.25u and 2.75u-1.25u-2.25u, but if you choose PC plate (easy to cut), you can fix to support 3u-1u-3u.

Today I received my LM60. Early yes, but lucky no. There's quite a few issues.

This seems to be a case of 'you get what you pay for'. I'll build the board when I can track down (or receive) some compatible screws, and report back on acoustics then. Overall it seems like a fine board, and I didn't expect miracles for the price, but I did expect that the listed inclusions would be delivered.

  • It's a cheap 60% gasket, at under $200 delivered
  • It actually delivered
  • It's 'based' (ie rip off) the Sangeo60


The negative:
  • Anodisation is streaky (see photos)
  • Anodisation is very different between top and bottom (see photos)
  • Anodisation has chips/marks (see photos, this is on the left WKL blocker and very noticeable when assembled)
  • My unit shipped without screws ! sure I can buy some screws that match the spec, but the thread mentions these are included, and I expected them to be
  • The board ships with D65 poron gaskets which fit the 3 middle gasket positions, but the outer 2 (4 overall) gasket positions are half the length, so you need to cut the poron in half yourself.

This week I recieved my Pink WKL case and overall I'm satisfied with it. I've never had an anodized case before so I don't have anything to compare with.

I guess some of the issues that user Nuap wrote about are present on my board, minor streaking (difficult to notice), different colour between top and bottom (don't really notice in person unless your looking for it though, at certain angles), there don't appear to be any chips in the ano. Mine did come with all the screws, etc.

I am very happy with the board. Our first intention was to make a real GB, but we had a problem that some of interested who fill GB do not reply anymore and others do not want to pay directly. So we have decided to make with own money. First round were 32 sets, second round 40 sets and this week we are fininshing third round of 40 sets. And we accorded cooperation with friend's Aliexpress Store, because that platform have reasonable average shipping price.

do you think it would be possible to make the plate files open sourced, i have a lm60 and love it but i don't really like polycarbonate, brass, or aluminum for the sound and feel i'm trying to get but those were the only choices. would be nice if i could just download the plate file and get something like a pom plate myself

Hello! Is there any place I can find a file for the plates used in the V1 version? I am wanting to have a friend of my laser cut a POM plate and a Carbon Fiber but he needs a file. My case w/ plates will be shipping soon and rather than waiting for the plates to come in to send him one to render / copy I thought it would be nice to see if there may be a file out there with exact dimensions etc. Thanks!

It’s the exact same (a copy!?) of the Sanger 60 plate.
