Approved :thumb:

PSA to prospective buyers:
Group Buys are inherently risky endeavors. There is an element of risk involved with collecting payment before the item has been produced and resulting uncertainty during manufacturing / subsequent operations. We urge all GB organizers to consider (and document) these risks, and want to make it clear to all who consider purchasing that these risks are present.

If you are unfamiliar with the Group Buy model, please read this primer - Group Buy FAQ / Buying Guidelines

This PSA is new and will become standard on all Group Buys moving forward. It is not posted on this GB in isolation and is not singling this organizer out in particular as someone to be wary of.

Yes, this mount system is more "tedious" than others, but no more than mount stabs or lube switches... 😆 This board is intended for those who want the benefit of monoblock/unibody and to reduce a little the production time and price.

On the next days we will post the prototype testing.

Wait. Beech wood and walnut wood HHKB layout?!

1. Do you have photos of these?

2. How hard is it to break the blockers of the wood case?

3. dgmelet.com is forcing me to select the "Extra plate" alu/pbt/brass option for $30 USD extra. Why do I need to buy two plates?

4. Is it even possible to buy a wood case with a weight?

5. Does it include a PCB?

6. Do you have any videos of the mounting system except the very bad youtube short video you did where we can't see anything?

Please see if you can get a photo of both types of wood.

Is the wood finished in any way or untreated?

EDIT: Also how is the weight mounted in the wood case?

Yes, the Auto Parts Store is mine. I think many people like the project, but do not want or trust to order directly from our link... No reason for that, LM60 V1 and V2 were delivered with full success and satisfaction.

If we sell it on vendors the price would be up by 30-40%.

Still no aluminium prototype dispayed as promised months ago, delivery "1st half" supposed to be happening now but obviously not a chance in hell, and still taking late entry payments. This reeks of scam.

Just in case it seemed like a harsh evaluation, let me clarify:

Quote
We made 3D printing prototype and will be made another aluminum prototype before the batch production.

Suggesting one of:

  • the prototype turned out poorly
  • the prototype hasn't even been done yet
  • there was never going to be any prototype

Timeline and fulfillment date

October: 11-31 GB
November: Production
December and January 2024 (first half): Shipment (Will be available: Aliexpress forwarding, Fedex/DHL and Germany forwarding to EU).

December
  • still taking payments
    still no prototype
    still no production

No samples and still taking orders because no MOQ reached yet! We are a small Company owned by me that really like to design and make keyboards and want to use GB, in the real meaning, to make It happen. But now many users just want to choose big projects that send dozens of samples to the content creators.

Just for reference, we delivered 80 sets of LM60 V1, 25 sets of LM60 V2 and now trying the LM60 V3.

I think if you made another website like lmkeyboards.com with a simple shopify site and stripe checkout, many more people would be comfortable ordering.

But maybe not.

Re: [GB] LM60/65 V3 - Monoblock (Al, Wood) mount screw in bushing - Shopify Store

Haha that was quick, good job :-)

There's a few things you can do to make the site a lot better, for example
(1) prices are only shown in BRL$ but I think shopify will let you show it in the visitors detected currency automatically
(2) selecting different color frames should change the active photo/render
(3) seems to be missing lots of case colors and also wood
(4) I can only select shipping to Brazil, no other countries
(5) it might be a good idea to write a better description for the V3, just go read on other stores what they write - for example what is actually included in the purchase and specify that PCB is NOT included, and put a link to the GB post here
(6) it might be a good idea to upload product pages for V1 and V2 to show the history, just put them "out of stock" or whatever, and put a link in the descriptions to the GH posts

Also since you say you sold a few of V1+V2, it would be great if you could show customer photos or videos of those somewhere.

But anyway please don't do anything just because I write it. I'm just trying to be helpful but if you spend lots of effort and nothing comes from it then don't blame me please :-P

We are still trying to make prototypes (factories charge high prices if is sample qty) or at least sell few to make first round (with full satisfaction warranty). But now this business/hobby is so hard, some big company/projects with low price and few GB that failed...

You should collaborate with the project instead of being just critical

How to make MOQ of 25 sets without at least 12-15 sets sold?! We have funds to make, but the preferences about layout, colors and materials...
