Nice... :)

Round 3 dyesubs are still in the mail since the holiday weekend (Pentecost) delayed things, together with a Millican daypack I have been lusting over and a new cover for my phone when the old one broke last weekend when I dropped it.

Forgot I bid on this like a month ago.  Learned I won it last week.  Well ****.  Anyways, paid for it since I won it.  Then I had to deal with a rather rude Canadian after they tried to charge an additional $10 shipping because the listed $20 shipping was "approximate".  So I may have some Brown Alps in the mail since they said they shipped it, but I don't have a tracking number.

Zowie EC2-A mouse
Once you get, tell me how you like it. I'm thinking of picking it up, since it's like the palm grip version of the zowie fk.

The only complaint I have heard is the scroll wheel being rather flimsy...

Have you looked into the Asus ROG Gladius? I've owned many mice in the past year (went on a binge  :)) ) and I can safely say that the Asus ROG Gladius is probably one of the best mouse on market right now. The Zowie feels very comfortable and the mousewheel is pretty decent but the Asus just blows it out the waters. The asus' scroll wheel is also lowered, similar to the Mionix 7000, thus is much easier to press. Ohh and the Asus feels sturdy! Excellent contruction. The Zowie feels nice also, and it definitely does not feel cheap, but the Asus is just so much better. I feel like I can throw my mouse at the wall and it still won't break.  :))
What is love.... Baby don't hurt me... No more!!

I just got my EC2-A last week and have been using it on my Mac (haven't built my PC yet) and I absolutely love it. It fits my hand in a palm grip (18.5 cm length) and the coating works well with my greasy and somewhat sweaty palms. Zowie must have fixed the scroll wheel issue because my scroll wheel is sitting sturdily on the mechanism.

The main problem with the scroll wheel was that if the user scrolled one notch up or down it wouldn't register until the user scrolled at least two notches in that direction (so 2 scrolls would represent 1 scroll on-screen and so on...). Luckily my EC2-A doesn't have that issue and it must have been fixed with later models of the EC2-A.

TL;DR It's a fantastic mouse and I fully recommend that you buy it (or the EC1-A if you want the slightly bigger shell) if you are hesitating on buying it. Zowie seems to have fixed some of the main issues that have plagued the EC lineup (wobbly/malfunctioning scroll wheel) for the past few iterations. But then again I could just have gotten a lucky EC2-A with no issues while the other ones are all messed up  :p

Happy birthday :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
