How come the "Input Device" forum gets no love?
« on: Fri, 23 November 2012, 23:56:05 »
I find the traffic on the "Input Device" forum seems to be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lower than the keyboard forum.  I mean I understand geekhack is mainly a keyboard forum but I thought at least keyboard and mouse go hand to hand.  So I'd at least expects some traffic.

I think I might have 60% love for keyboard and 40% love for mouse.  But the traffic at the "Input Device" forum feels more like 95% keyboard 5% mouse.

Are people here just not too into mouse discussions?

Mice?
The online Oxford Dictionaries entry for mouse states the plural for the small rodent is mice, while the plural for the small computer connected device is either mice or mouses

Mice are small furry creatures with a cheese fixation.

Mouses are computer peripherals used to move a cursor around a screen.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

lol yeah feels like even this off topic forum gets more love.  Over there at the input forum it's pretty much just me and vun talking to each other and no one else.
