Total newbie to custom keyboards here, but I am an IT person by day and I do machining as a hobby, so I started up a project to mill myself a set of keys, and eventually a keyboard. My first test run was last weekend and I have a lot more work to do to get everything perfected, but I am pretty happy with my first test run. Still digging into all the details and trying to decide what kind of layout I want to go for, looking forward to getting more involved.
