What if it was like an egg yolk yellow?

TBH I'd like to see charcoal with pink and cyan lol

I'd be into cyan

+1

That doesn't sound too bad.

This sounds a little like SoWaRe.  I know that there was supposed to be an IC about getting that up and running, but I haven't read anything new about it recently, so we can throw something like that on the list, too.

Don't worry, white and blue is in the works. Look for it soon.

So, I really want that orange on charcoal. OAS on GX. I also really like the look of that OAS on GE base with OAS on GX mods.

Rumors and promises...I demand threads and pictures with signup sheets and prices!!

Lol, it cracked me up that you called me Captain. Is Sherryton the one who's providing the blue and white goodness?

In regards to the OP, the GMK buy is looking interesting as well. That Triumph Adler green set is really growing on me.

I suggested the the options for OCKC but the guy running it at the time didn't want to add options. He wanted just the base set like SP sells to be orange on grey, and then grey on orange mods. It was like pulling teeth to get him to even consider orange on grey mods and then orange on charcoal (the darker grey) was even worse, but eventually someone made the mock up linked in this thread. I'm just happy to see people backing my suggestions.

Also my interest check thread for SkyWyRe (Sky blue Wyse Replica) is still open and I am planning it for this year at some point. Most people want it to be a limited run of around 100, but there were some suggestions for 150, and even some for only 50-75 so that it is more rare. I think 100 is the sweet spot for price, and limited numbers.

I really like the idea of yellow on the grey/charcoal so I took the picture and just did a quick spray of yellow on it to see how it looked. Now I'm no professional and I did it in a rush so it is no where near clear or sharp but the idea looks nice unit someone does a proper draw up of the keyboard.

 Still a newbie. :(

While your idea is valid, we already have the Toxic set, which is sort of a yellow-green.

I still prefer the orange legends.

I only did it because someone mentioned yellow earlier. It is also my understanding the toxic set will be more of a neon toxic green kinda thing. I'd just prefer a yellow.

Charcoal/orange (essentially get OCKC back going)

Yes, I was looking through that thread last week and liked OCKC quite a bit. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I saw some people wanting a second set of inverted mods (orange on darker  charcoal??) and I thought it looked wonderful.

If they don't go with an orange/grey set in the GMK thread then I'd be up for a set like in the mockup above, but in UK layout.

Considering that round4 is in production, you may see a few floating and he (7bit) is already planning a round5 that may be from GMK, that may not be something I can touch.

I believe I saw some of leftovers in the Round 4 thread at DT. Maybe you can check there mashby? Otherwise, it seems like a few Round 3s have been popping up.

CCNB! Considering that there is quite a number of people expecting their blue on white cherry pbt caps I think white on blue modifiers would be pretty popular.

As someone who loves anything orange, the OCKC has my vote :p

Random thought guys: The OCKC would look fab with an otional F row kit which replaces   F1F2F3F4   F5F6F7F8   F9F10F11F12   clusters with the letters   GEEK   HACK   .ORG, where G is F1, E is F2, "." is F9 etcetc... Would mirror the look of the current header image for the forums :)

Could make this particular kit a fundrasier kit for GH too ;D

So I think the next thing I run is going to be DSA profile because it's different and cool looking

Possible sets:
1. OCKC (may be one of the GMK runs, may not, I suppose we'll see.)
2. CCnB (tired of hearing about how someone else is totally going to do it.  someday.  after something else more cool.  and after something else.  and after a new website.  and after that new website is turned off and back on several times.)
3. klaxon (hesitant to do the same colors so quick, but I bet they'd look good in DSA.  Or at least give RoG/GoR its time in the sun in that profile)

I like my thick cherry caps as well, but the problem is, as has been stated, MoQ.

Klaxon was a good success at 175 orders.
Retro was HUGE success at 225.  And that was with at least two vendors buying an unknown quantity of those sets.

Combine those and that's the minimum for GMK.  Is there any color that can get that kind of patient movement behind it?

I have a *slight* worry about communication as well, but that's borne more of not having interacted with the group before more than anything.

I honestly think that GMK will never happen unless either:

1. They lower their MOQ
2. Somehow the Korean communities work with us on reaching the MOQ.

Our best bet on Cherry legends is waiting for SP.

EDIT: speaking of koreans....

Actually, DSA Retro sold 422 alpha sets and a combined total of 421 mods sets. With some vendor help, of course.

And Klaxon did what, about 280 full sets? Getting close to a 400 MOQ.

IIRC it is per set.  So you would have to order 400 base, 400 mod, 400 tsangan, etc...

Right. For GMK, everyone would have to order the same thing. No separate kits. Streamlined and inclusive.

So I think the next set I'm going to do is just going to suddenly be for sale, almost like I'm a retailer (Cause I would be).  Even still, I'm looking for good bets as to what to get and here are my thoughts:

From GMK -
-Black/white.  It's a simple classic combo that I haven't seen much talk about coming through a group buy, but one that I think would sell reasonably well.
- purple mods.  They look super sharp on black inputs.
- CCnO.  There's a new thread about getting it done through SP, but I think it may be popular enough to get through GMK and get that solid goodness.
- ESC key red/white.  I know I just did klaxon, but the red is different enough to differentiate this set, on top of the thicker plastics.

SP:
- something something DSA

Also, thinking of getting more B series matching function and number rows for some of the new sets out, but there wasn't a huge amount of turn out when these were done back late last year, so I'm hesitant.  I just liked working with sleabo, he's my British Gentleman bro.

I've got other stuff I'm thinking about getting a hold of other than this, but that will have to wait, heh.

You know, if enough people dig it, I may do that, too as a pseudo surprise.
