new blog post: i hope your typing technique does not require you to flip your spacebar!

side note: i was just back in the US for a few weeks and drank a lot of rainier. coming back to EU... there is no cheap beer of compare but at least i can get delirium tremens at the bar across from my house for fairly cheap.

I tried flipping my space bar once, and it made no difference to the feel, but did irk my mild OCD as it looked different.  Wrong somehow.  So I flipped it back again, and I've felt better ever since.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

we also have very easy access to la chouffe which is pretty similar (kinda sweet tasting, deceptively strong) and leads to similar results :))

I've flipped in the past, on two separate occasions actually. I won't be angry at those who do, but I personally don't see a need.

yeah it's great and it will **** you up real quick, so whether you're a drinker for pleasure or whatever, it's at the very least non-offensive. if you like darker beers it's probably not up your alley and you probably know of equally-strong beers in that category.

Most of the time, if I'm looking for a strong dark beer I'll get a Blue Chimay. But next time I go to the store I'll be sure to grab 1 or 2 Deliriums to give it a try

Spaceflipping is nothing. I often flip my whole board. This one time I flipped my desk.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

I've tried to get into bourbon but I just can't do it. Somehow just too sweet on my palette(even though I can drink sugary stuff).

I dislike Jameson as well as john is walkers(some are alright but overpriced).

I love me something peaty. Ardbeg or hmmmm forget the name of it!

Sadly the scotches I like the most here cost around $100. Considering I'm the kind of guy to drink a bottle in one sitting, I don't drink it often. I miss Nevada prices on booze.

Have you tried any Japanese whiskey? It's really good. 12 year old Hibiki is the biz.

It comes in a smaller bottle so you can drink the whole thing in one sitting and not feel bad...actually, you'll feel really good =P

im of the firm opinion that if you're gonna drink liquor you have to earn it. i only drink vodka when other people buy it but that's reaaaaal rare. bourbon (or other whiskey) and occasionally tequila. no mixed drinks and no sips. gotta take the bad with the good namsayn?
