Thanks!
I do like GMK Striker but I actually enjoy the softer look of the light blue blanks for now. Might swap for Striker and snap some pics later.

 Gotta have those authentic scuffs

Being able to upgrade it with a Hiney PCB for QMK + Via is the icing on the cake.

I need to disassemble the original aluminum plate and do the same, this was just an easy build to move over from my Whale. The aluminum has a much nicer sound to it.

Nice build.
How does that PA plate compare to the PC one in terms of sound and feel?
Did you need to remove the internal weight because of flex?

The PA plate is significantly softer than the PC plate that came with the keyboard. I don't know what the keyboard feels or sounds like with said PC plate, but it sounds pretty nice with PA and a bit softer than my keyboards with PC-plates. With the internal weight I found the keyboard unusable, the switches were effectively resting on the weight; made for a very stiff plastic plate. Also the sound was horrible. I think the PA plate might've been too soft for the space available under the PCB.

Thanks for the detail.
People using the PC place have reported similar issues with the internal weight.
Makes me wonder if a diffuser layer would help.
(I did a linear build with a CF plate for mine so no issues to report)

That red though - so good.

GMK DMG R2 on a Jane V2 CE

Built with a red Hineybush h88, stock carbon fiber plate, H1s for alphabets, Gateron Yellows for everything else. TX films, 60g springs and 3204. Typing sounds incredibly good. Imo better than the FR4 half plate + thin h88 combo which bends too much.
