anyone know a reasonable way to a new case for a WASD V1 keyboard?
« on: Sun, 19 November 2017, 17:14:53 »
so my first mechanical keyboard was a WASD V1 (mx-browns) that my wife bought me for xmas years ago 6~ 7~ ish can't quite recall...   the keycaps were quite crap and shined pretty quickly which would be fine (since I replaced them) but the top half of the case shined as well by the space bar which is quite crap..

I had looked years ago and found nothing as well as contacting WASD who also said they had nothing for the V1's so I just gave up basically ... I considered plastidip or whatever ..but I am quite bad and that sort of DIY so I figured it would in all likelihood be a complete disaster and even worse..

but I'll ask does anyone have any idea how to get the whole case for this style of Costar built keyboard??? and /or are  the inards able to work with say a Filco / WASD v2 etc.. style case??

looks like this btw..  (probably most of y'all know this however)

To be honest, plasti-dip is probably going to be your best bet!
Just go with it and take your time, if you do fail you can always peel it off and try again.

There are many types of divorce.. Some involve lawyers,  some involve a heavy metal keyboard, and .. ur imagination takes it from there..

fair enough... I may just leave it alone.. or it I get "supar" motivate (which I probably won't) try the plastidip stuff..

it be kewl if there was some way to buy a new case for the keyboard but it seems that is pretty much not happening.. so that is fine..

my wife will want to talk w/ tp4issues later.. something about a fist sammy but I digress...
