So does the SA profile on Topre live up to the #hype?, I am strongly considering getting a novatouch just for SA, that and potentially harvesting it for sliders  ;)

Yes! Yes it does!

I was gonna harvest my stems and put a mixture of black on black HHKB/RF caps on the novatouch, but thats on the backburner now. Im still yet to try 55g topre which i can only imagine being my next step with the novatouch. The SA caps are staying

Nice keyboard + pants.

Have you tried GMK on Novatouch?  I think SA is quite nice, but GMK is just as good IMO.  Not hyped nearly as much tho.

Not keyboard related, and no pics, but my replacement Pebble came today. I am debating selling it. I really enjoy it, but the amount of issues I have had with them, I'm not even sure if its worth it.

Damn this is my next next step. I have my Novatouch with the thick PBT Leopold set. Then I'll have to perform Spicebar's silencing mod (this weekend I think) and then I'll just have to wait for JD's Hack'd by geeks SA set and it will be just marvelous I think.

Even if I'm really curious, I'd like to try the 55g Topre but I feel that the 45g is heavy enough on my fingers IMO.

Do GMK caps cause the stabilized keys to rattle?  I had that problem with the Leopold caps, I'm unfortunately quite sensitive to stuff like that; SA caps must be really awesome since the OEM caps on the Novatouch all behaved nicely.  It sort of led me to thinking the higher the profile, the better.  Overall, I still think I prefer hhkb/realforce to the Novatouch, but I definitely want to try SA on it someday.

The rattle comes from the stabs moving in his housing. You need to apply thick grease on it if you want to dampen it. I don't think the caps have something to do with the rattling.

Oh that's good to know! I unfortunately didn't have mine long enough to open her up and see if I could remediate the rattling.  Thanks for the tip incase I ever end up getting one again.

This might be interesting for you in that case: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=65853.msg1540901#msg1540901

This is the silencing mod I'm going to perform this weekend on my Novatouch I think. If you are interesting in the result, Spicebar put a recording of the stock Novatouch and one after the mod is completed. You truly hear the difference. Since I heard it, I knew I wanted to do it! He told me that after the mod, he finds it better than his HHKB and RF 88/87u.

I am facepalming so hard right now...   :-[

The package containing my blue RF topre set + GMK Charred Orange arrived back in October.  I have no recollection of receiving the package, and figured it was just lost in the mail.

Today I spotted an "unknown" package leaning against the wall, literally 2 feet from where I sit every day; I decided to explore what might be in it.

That's a really cute laptop
In the end.. the keyboard's most grand form of existence is as an ethereal bridge between man and machine..    Each depression of the keys, evanescent.. Our transitory thoughts crashing into the web, carving canyons through the internet wasteland such that life may once again flourish..

This just in My postman is the best person ever, he just came back as I was at work to give me a package and said it wasn't as cool as the one with the rainbow drawing on it last year (Referring to the Rainbro box which had a rainbow on it) XD gosh I love my area sometimes, anyway onto pictures I don't care if they are potates (
) Watch that you'll understand :p

Ignore the Amiami flyers I just got loads more nedoroids >_> They will be pictured tomorrow

Black tape I like how everything matches :)

Thats a lot of paper, I was not even sure I got anything until digging around

Package found!

Sidewards bro's Yeeeeeeaaaaaaah

I don't want to be rude or anything but Stump is better than everything I have had before I just love his old looking face reminds me of a elderly man that live near me always with a flat cap and pipe in hand :)

Achievement Get: Got Wood?

PS: Did I win the race to be the first in the UK to get their blackout bro's ;p
