Got another set of 9 going out today.

Will probably try to get 20+ out by tomorrow.

Mine is the same: estimated delivery today and hasn't departed the PA facility since it arrived there 36 hours ago. USPS  tracking has been crap for me lately...

We had a mishap with one of my wife's packages.  Took over a month to get here*.  Multiple days it said it was delivered.  Apparently USPS is having an issue with its databases.  Not comforting, but they assured us it only affects the online tracking modules.

* with how the person sent it the package should have taken a month, so no foul-up.

For the most part, it has been just the estimated delivery for me as well - though one package, I believe last week, was delayed like 3 or 4 days before it even left TX. Still, I didn't expect your package until tomorrow based on the times listed, so we'll see.

It was going to be the first set on my newly built Zealio board if it had made it today, but alas, Galaxy Class has taken that honor.

Were these being sent out by order number? According to the order number Binge said was the first set sold, I was number 6, but I haven't received any shipping information. No rush Binge, I understand if they're not going out in order. I'm just curious in case I missed something.

Did you order stickets? He has said that those who did would have both shipped at the same time - meaning the keys will be held a little while regardless of order number.

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing something about that. I did order some stickets. I must have forgot in all the excitement, haha. It'll make the package that much more exciting. Thanks!

This is correct, I am combining orders.  When an order is complete I always work in first come first serve.  Missing order components, in this case stickets, are grounds for delaying shipment.  I apologize for any hurt feelings this may cause, but be assured we have not forgot about you and I spend a significant amount of time triple checking my order details.  If there is an issue I will definitely make it right.

Say if you did not receive shipping notification and I have said "all orders have shipped!" please come to me immediately. :)

Just got my set as well really awesome packaging. I do get a pretty big scratch on the 0 key for the num pad. Is there any change I can get a replacement for that key?

Keep that photo handy.  I need to get the details from Cody, but because this was a [CTRL]ALT GB, extras will be available once we amass a record of the damaged keys.

TIP: wet a microfiber cloth, rub the affected area in a circular motion.  If the mark nearly disappears it will go away with use, but again if this is not acceptable please allow us to get our form up and running so that you can claim your damaged key and we'll work on getting your replacement sent, shipped free, at no extra charge to you.

USPS makes a game of it and scores!

It still held up well though, and I haven't found any noticeable scratches. This is pretty annoying though:

This is on GMK obviously. Hard to capture on my phone but you can clearly see the stem and braces through the 'P' key. Hopefully there's an extra 'P' key I could get, or GMK could make good on it? Other than that the set looks great, thanks again Bunny/Binge!

Very surprised the keys shifted like that.  We took a set and threw it off the roof and nothing moved.  :|

Messaging Cody right now about the form's progress.

::EDIT:: to answer your question there are only the keys that were ordered in existence.  Meaning there are 0 extras.  We need to have GMK replace the keys and then ship out the replacements.  You should get to keep your defunk'd key and get a replacement.

I have gotta say man we can try to get those replaced, but that is stuff you will find normally in doubleshot keycaps. The issue of the F looks like a demolding nick, and the kerning on the R is definitely a little off but nothing that would be rejected by QC.

Please be sure to save all of your photos as they may be required to make your claim with GMK.

Ya I'm not too worried about the F. I misspoke when I said malformed, I didn't mean the legend itself. The R key looks like it has a dent in it from every angle because the stem is showing through. There probably is an actual depression there where maybe the entire mold hadn't been filled or something (air?). I don't know enough about it to say exactly.

Generally this is a standard molding concern with injection molded keys.  Because the plastic structure changes temperature at different rates a key can shift when demolded, and because the finish of the key is normally so uniform on a perfect shot you can see any variation in the finish of a not so perfect key if the variance is on the scale of 1000-100nm.

::EDIT:: if you ever get into PBT dyesub caps you'll see this behavior much more often.  When the keys are reheated to sublimate the applied dye the key will warp ever so slightly.  To clarify how this relates to doubleshots... Hot plastic is injected for the first color, and the 2nd color is injected after the first color sets to hard plastic.  The application of the 2nd color being near the melting temperature of the 1st plastic by the time it reaches the mold causes slight warps.

It is a shame the cross of the stem can be seen from the top of the cap. I wonder how long will the replacement take.

It's likely GMK will reject claims for keys in this condition.  We will submit all claims and do what we can.

Above is a picture I took and on the white keypad you can see the variations in the keycaps which were caused by heat application (dyesub caps).  Manufacturers are not very sympathetic to these kinds of visual defects.

Yeah, my experience even with blank PBT is that it's pretty common to get at least a couple like that. I was surprised that the Gateron blanks I received were virtually flawless in this regard. Somewhat of a better picture with my ****ty phone.

I'll wait on the forms and hope GMK will take care of them. I think you've done a great job man, really happy with the set, and you're awesome for taking the time to address concerns. I hope the coming storm doesn't stress you out too hard. :thumb:

No problems with individual keys here. Mine were also pretty scattered in the box when I opened it, but have yet to notice any scratches/misprints/visible stems. I... would recommend shipping them another way in the future just to be safe, though. To be honest, I've never had any issues with bagged keys and don't totally understand why everyone's reinventing the wheel on key shipping lately.

In any case, thanks for running the second round sale, Binge! Great turnaround time and great communication throughout the process - much appreciated.

Good feedback.  This was no more expensive for me to ship this way than any other. I am again surprised anything shifted.  The tests for torture we committed to these sets warranted a good deal of confidence, but this just goes to show how rough shipping can get.

I will always be looking for a better way to show you that I care about what you get.  I can say with confidence that any marks on keys were not a result of my method of shipment.  The foam would have kept the keys out of harms way.

They're just finishing up being made.  No luck sending out any stickets yet.

My OG Cherry is flawless, GMK should take care better of those old molds and keep the injection molding parameters under control.

If it is repetitive is a manufacturing defect most likely due to the mold setup.

not sure where to ask this, but was told by CPTBadAss in another thread that I could try asking Binge.

Anyway, have you (Binge) or anyone been in contact with kaliet/22kbd recently?
Is he still making customs?

Received mine! Everything looks great. I have the same malformed R but it doesn't bother me so much. Probably wouldn't have realized it if nothing had been posted.
